Miss Washington Blames Seedy Friends

Miss Washington should know better -- everything shows up on the Internet!

In a press conference today in Tacoma, Wash., Elyse Umemoto said the photos posted earlier today on TMZ were "stolen electronically" by someone she trusted.

Miss Bad Apple claims the photos were shot over two years ago, while she was Miss Seattle. The Executive Director of the pageant tells us the matter has been referred to authorities for investigation, although when we talked to local cops, they had no idea what we were talking about.

Umemoto -- who gets to keep her crown -- will be on hand this Saturday night to crown her successor.

31. OK first let me say- it is clear that most of you posters know NOTHING about the reality, viability, or importance of pageants, particularly the Miss America system. They provide a wonderful learning experience and opportunities to preform on stage, be physically fit, and to be well spoken.
I know Elyse personally, and she is a wonderful person who has donated much time and effort to charity. She is kind, outgoing, and fun to be around. These photos do not show the whole story (or even a partial story) of who she is as a person, or as a titleholder. They show evidence of a normal young woman who likes to goof around with her friends.
Clearly these photos were released at just this time in order to do maximum damage to her personally, as she is passing on the Miss Washington title this weekend.
You rock Elyse(!!), and all of you other know nothings on this site should learn before you judge.

32. With all of that lip pursing and obnoxious blinking, she looks like a condescending ass who deserves to have had drunk pictures of herself posted all over the internet. She's not even a good speaker, she hardly looked up from the paper she was reading. Get over yourself, honey. Being pretty doesn't necessarily make you worth the air you breathe.

What's more, she probably released the pictures herself. Idiot.

42. When these agencies like the Miss Washington pageant don't stick to a strict code of ethics, it just keeps degrading the quality of the entire system. She gets paid to be a role model, yet she is a lousy role model and those pics prove it. Don't place the blame on the "friend you trusted letting you down", that is pure BS - YOU posed for those pics and allowed them to be taken, and YOU alone are responsible for them existing. Actually, she is not that attractive anyway, so Washington has low standards all the way around.
