Mormons Slam Calendar's Missionary Position

Who knew a bunch of shirtless Mormon hunks could lead to so much drama?! Don't get your magic underwear in a bunch!
Mormon Docs: Click to read
TMZ has obtained a letter sent to Chad Hardy, the Mormon creator of the steamy Men on a Mission calendar, by the LDS church -- threatening disfellowship or excommunication for "conduct unbecoming a member." Coincidence? Chad thinks not.

Hot Mormons: Click to launchHardy tells TMZ he believes he's being targeted for the 12-monther -- but admits he doesn't attend church meetings or pay his tithing. He also believes his repentance will include closing up shop on the calendar, which he ain't ready to do. Save me Joseph Smith!

For their part the Church refuses to comment on the whole thing, "out of respect for the member himself."

We're guessing they won't like his next idea either -- Mormon Muffins: A Taste of Motherhood.

UPDATE: On July 13, Chad Hardy was officially excommunicated for "conduct unbecoming a member of the church."

3. Watch September Dawn and see how you feel about Mormons. Gives a different perspective of Donny and Marie.

4. If he was serious and in good standing, or whatever they call it, he wouldn't be going shirtless, or creating a shirtless calendar. He's no Mormon. Fake Mormon calendar.

6. This is pretty much word for word what my letter said when they had a trial against me for being in a relationship with another woman. Must be a form letter. Gotta love it, ready for everything!

8. They go shirtless when they go swimming, and women apparently don't wear their garments while dancing on cheezy TV shows.

9. aren't the Mormon's the group of people who marry/sleep with 12 year old girls and have like 10 wives?? you'd think a shirtless calendar wouldn't be an issue for them

10. This guy is misrepresenting the Mormon Faith and should be excommunicated. September Dawn isn't even an accurate account. Check your sources. You also have to take into account that "Mormon's" are humans, and they make mistakes just like the rest of us. What religion is OJ Simpson? Are people going to stop believing just because he, as one singular person, is a murderer? No! So just because a "Mormon" does something wrong it doesn't make the religion itself wrong. 11. Firstly..
That calendar is totally tacky,

Secondly...
Calling temple garments "magic underwear" is childish and offensive.

Thirdly...
You really truly need to mind your own business. This website is for CELEBRITY gossip and news, not reporting that some guy might get dis fellowshipped from church! That's just something that is between him and his bishop.

12. No, Mormons do not marry 12 year olds. That is the FLDS church. Please educate yourselves on a subject before commenting. http://mormon.org

13. dubba, if someone in the LDS church married and slept with a 12 year old they would most likely be excommunicated for breaking the law.
Same if they had 10 wives.

You must have the LDS church confused with someone else. Why don't you go check your facts out?

14. The mormon religion takes pride in itself by living a clean lifestyle. Centering your time, energy, thoughts, ect.... around your family and Christ. Why is this so hard to believe and be made fun of for? We are taught to love each other, to love and protect our families, to thank and show appreciation to the God that gave us life and all of the blessings that we have in our lives. Nothing we believe is crazy or weird. We simply believe that through the way that we live our lives and by being obedient to the thiings in which we belive in, we will live with our familiesand our God for eternity. Not just the time spent on earth. This person chose to do something that the church doesnt believe in. That is his choice and he has his free agency to do so. But our church also has its agency to not allow someone who does not care to not be a part of our church. There are so many things that are mis understood about our religion, if poeple would just take the time to research for themselves rather than rely on what the media says they would find so much peace in it. I love being a member of the church and would not trade it for the world. I lived a life of drugs and alcohol for a good portion of my life. The church has created a better environment for myself along with my family and I have single handedly watched it change mine and my families lives. For all of you who are interested in finding answers out for yourself rather than listening to what you hear about us you can visit WWW.MORMON.ORG to find answers.

15. I used to be LDS and this is a scare tactic they use to keep their members in line. The LDS authorities in SLC to not like any controversy at all. One woman was excommunicated because she was shown on TV attending a ERA parade. I feel sorry for members of that faith - they live in constant fear. I know from personal experience.
