Brolin Busted: Shreveport Happens

61. I think that Shreveport is the best City put together. If you havent been here how could you say that its a bad city. There are many who say that New York City is a dirty place with Rude people what can you say about that? I think that the SPD were doing there Job. But no matter what any of you critics say about Shreveport, I know being here that this place is on the rising. We have so much to offer then any other city. The movie industry is awesome!

62. Thank you so much Jeff (#57) for your comments. You said everything I would like people reading these messages to hear about our sister city. I would imagine you are like me - you don't usually get caught up in leaving comments online but when I started reading some of the things being said about Shreveport and our part of the country- I really wanted to say something -but you said if for me. We are enjoying the fact that these movie companies are coming here and helping our economy and I imagine if you asked these actors they would say they have had an overall good experience- with few exceptions.

I am proud to say I was born and raised here in Shreveport, I have seen and lived in many other parts of the country, But choze to come home,We have problems like every other city, But its the people that sets us apart. We have more good than bad I promise you. You people that trash the cops are the first to change your tune when you need one. And if you act in public like you post on forums I would say that was fairly often. The officers were not waiting outside to pounce on these guys, They were called By an employee who was doing there job. The officers were out numbered by at least 30 crew members....Yea I would call for back up!....Wrap partys get wild, Rowdy drunks in Shrevport are no different than any other town I have lived in.
Stupid is Stupid reguarless of the zip code. Shreveport is a great place and is getting even better, As is the state. As for the negitive and nasty remarks. If you had such a bad experiance here it says alot about the crowd you ran with, and the areas you choze to visit ...If you dont like Shreveport I20 is ready when you are. And we will be even better without ASS's like you!

The Shreveport that Harry Yambag describes is one I have never seen.....But I have seen the Sunrise over Caddo Lake and the Sunset over Lake Bisteneau....I learned to swim in Cross Lake, I Have heard the Shreveport Symphany under score the fire works over Red river on the 4th of July.....I have stopped to smell the Roses at The American Rose center.....I have seen John Wayne accept the Sprirt of Independence Award ......I shed tears through swollen eyes on 911 when Air Force one and a flight of F15 Eagles broke through the clouds over Barksdale Air Force Base.....I have seen the Memorial Day Ceramony at Hillcrest Cemetary where I thanked God for the Brave Men and Women who wear the uniform....Including the SPD Uniform that you have trashed in your post Mr Yambag!....Shreveport has finest of all trades....We have a rich musical heritage that rivels even Nasville.....we are home to the Lead Bellys....The Kenny Waynes and the James Burtons of the world....Terry Bradshaw, Kix Brooks, Hal Sutton, Joe Fergerson...Faron Young, David Houston....James Stroud ,Keith Steagal This list is too long to Educate you on this forum.....We are home to the cutting edge in medical technoligies with LSU health Science center. We have more poets ,Pickers and humanitarians than any other one city I can think of in the south....We have something for everyone. The Movie industry will keep growing here as will any other endeaver we take on.....We have a great Mayor in office that is leading the way.....We have a Great reform Govoner in office that is leading us away from the good ol boy southen image that we had......Hell even when we had Edwards in office you outsiders saw him as a crook but he was our crook! and had more charm and charisma than any namless politician you could come up with......No Harry Yambag the Shreveport that you post of is one I never have seen....I love Shreveport and its people....When you cut Shreveport I bleed a little to. Tell me about your home? Is it perfect? Doe's the actions of one of your police officers mean that every one in the uniform is corupt? ....I bet if you ask Mr Brolin he had more positive experiance's here than the one negitive that is creating all the bad press.

65. Comment 65, Oh Really? Shreveport is 20 miles from Texas and 30 miles from Arkansas, so how you figure it's "the armpit of Louisiana, located on the Gulf coast". The SPD will release the police video when the investigation is over and you will realize that these "actors" were wrong, for interfering with the police, remaining after forbidden and resisting arrest, which I'm sure is illegal in ALL 50 states. And by those pictures, I wouldn't have realized that was Josh Brolin and I don't know who this Wright guy is.
