Inside Blowfish Sushi in WeHo, our spies tell TMZ that helium-voiced Macy Gray was rude and demanding, until she started participating in happy hour!

Gray even tipped 20 bucks on a $70 bill -- but the gesture was a lil' short since Macy ended up getting $70 worth of free food and drinks because she complained there was a hair in her food.

17. i remember watching the mtv video awards or some type of mtv awards show in 2001 just after Aliyah died but just before sept 11, most of the artists where so sad and some wept openly about this beautiful talented girls demise..but not macy gray... she wore the most OBNOXIOUS OUTFIT.. with the day and time her album was to drop plastered on her backside...!! she is the most CRASS CREATURE .. an embarrassment to black america, i cannot imagine what type of progeny she has ... god knows more of the same.. WELL, SHE IS PROOF THAT AMERICANS WILL BUY ANYTHING.. including this JUNK...
