Actors Tased, Pepper Sprayed ..."N" Word Used

Josh Brolin and Jeffrey Wright, who were arrested this past weekend at a Shreveport, La. bar, were pepper sprayed and tased by cops. And, we're told, police went on a vulgar rant -- and portions were caught on cell phone video.

The incident occurred during a wrap party for Oliver Stone's movie "W" about the Prez. Local station KTBS reports and TMZ sources say Wright, who plays Colin Powell, was repeatedly tasered and pepper sprayed as he lay prone on his stomach in the street. We know witnesses heard the officers using extremely foul language, including the "N" word, directed at Wright.

Our sources say Brolin was observed by witnesses attempting to make peace and standing still as he was repeatedly sprayed in the eyes by cops.

The city attorney has not decided whether to file criminal charges against Brolin, Wright or the others for interfering with a police officer.

31. Outrageous! Americans should be up in arms over this! More and more the Cops in this country are out of control on some power trip. The City Attorney must be an idiot! The Cops should be charged. I hope both actors sue the pants off the cops and the city. This country sucks.

36. As a white male, I am totally embarrased that members of my race still behave in such a deplorable ignorant way. In 2008 I find their behavior outrageous, despicable, and.... I can't find enough negative adjetives to describe the demeanor of another human being, not to mention a human being task with upholding the law. I hope Jeffery and Josh pursue any and all legal remedies available to them for the violation of their civil rightrs, which means the actions of those officers are now considered a federal offense, and a felonious assult. Charges should be brought against the officers, the chief of police, and the mayor, and they all should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law, and if convicted each and every one of them should be placed in a cell with several minority inmates for, oh say 24 hours, and anything that happens to them would be well deserved punishment. I also hope that the Hollywood community, in response to such outrageous treatment of those contributing to the local economy, think twice before considering to film any future projects in Shreveport, depriving them of the boon to their local economy, as this unacceptable level of treatment should not go unpunished.

40. I would just like to say as a person from Shreveport not all of us are racists rednecks (as those from South Louisiana aren't all crazy coonasses). It's really an unfortunate situation.

41. Its not LOUSYana.... Its LOOSERana. Shreveport is nothing but a nasty stink pot. EVERYONE there is racist. The whites hates the blacks, the blacks hate the whites, there are still churches where only whitea attend and blacks attend. If you want a better education you have to get them into a magnet school or pay a private school (which still cannot compete with other states public schools). At every stop light theres ghetto blasting music and more Grand Marquis with 20' spinners than I have ever seen. The rednecks still fly their rebel flags in their yards, wear the dumbest rebel flag jewlry that only a mullet can appreciate.

I hope that the movie industry will open their eyes and see that its just not worth giving that state their business, there are far better places to film.

45. Just what we need, more arrogant, ignorant, astronomically overpaid ACTORS giving the "good ones" a bad reputation. Something tells me these brave police officers will not go quietly into the courtroom like some puny one bullet deputy with his hands and his balls tied up in a sling. How nice it would be if California would simply break off at it's borders and simply float out into the Pacific. We could turn it into a leper colony or a prison. Or, we could just cut it off from the mainland and wait for everyone who lives there to die and sink it. That would solve a world of problems...
