LC -- I Won't Walk With Bitches!

Lauren Conrad might spend her life around some really big bitches, but lil' ones just won't do.

Sources tell TMZ that LC got $20,000 -- yeah, we know -- to make an appearance and walk the runway at Animal Fair mag's "Paws for Style" event last night in NYC. She did the whole red carpet thing.

But, when it came time to do the runway, our spies say she threw "a hissy fit" and "stormed off" in tears, refusing to prance down the catwalk with a dog. We're told LC claims she didn't know anything about the walkin' the dog.

Her rep couldn't be reached immediately for comment.

32. I volunteer at a shelter and I'm appalled that LC would act this way. She could do so much to help animals, but instead she acts like a skank. LC, you ain't that great. Animal Fair is the magazine that was sponsoring this and they're donating the proceeds to the Humane Society. I'm surprised to hear that LC was PAID to do this-I'm sure there must've been a celeb who would've done it for free! Call Hayden!

33. I was at this event last night, I was working backstage, helping organize the celebrities for the fashion show AND the red carpet.

First and foremost, this was in fact a charity event. I volunteered my time through Animal Fair because I absolutely 100% support the Humane Society, which was what the event was donating all money earned to.

Secondly, it should be noted that Lauren Conrad was an absolute sweetheart anytime I spoke with her in the evening. What I honestly think happened was that there was a miscommunication in her camp/team of people who coordinate her schedule.

REGARDLESS though, I think that it was kind of messed up that she DID sneak out the back staircase instead of taking two minutes to walk Toby (the rescue dog that was there on behalf of the Humane Society) down the runway. In the long run, would it have REALLY taken that much out of her time? I don't think so. Each celebrity was down on the runway for about 3 minutes, and then doing an interview for about five afterwards. It was REALLY confusing.

Then again, I don't know all the details of what was being said or going on with her and her publicist, but she did look REALLY upset. Maybe she knew the backlash that was coming.

34. I thought the whole point of a charity event was to give back and volunteer your time. It is absolutely absurd to even think she was paid that much to appear at an event. It is disgusting, when you are paid to do a job, DO IT, and if you don't like it you should have never taken such a generous amount to only fall short acting like a 3 year child throwing a tissy fit at a grocery store.
Didn't her momma tell her how to act??? Selfish brat.

37. Wow, TMZ should be ashamed of themselves even reporting this. This is NOT at all what happened! All of you people that left comments should really look into these "claims" because that is all they are. Lauren Conrad absolutely did not go running off because she had to walk a dog down the red carpet! Think about that and ask yourself if that makes any kind of sense. Why in the world would a charity event ever pay 20,000 for ANYONE...regardless of celebrity or not...when that 20,000 would be used directly for the charity they are trying to raise money for?

I happen to know what the real story is and Lauren is above even trying to defend herself against this idiotic story. Lauren did not run off number one, and secondly when she did leave it was not because she had to walk a dog down the red carpet! None of you know the real story and TMZ is just another National Enquirer who reports half truths just to gain an ounce of credibility.

LC is a wonderful, caring and GIVING young lady. She owns a dog for heaven's sake! Do you really think as dog owner that she would be above walking a dog down the red carpet??? You people are just idiots with absolutely no lives what so ever, that is why you are perusing sites like TMZ so you can see the trash that these people report. GET A LIFE!
