In a WNYW interview with Lauren on the red carpet right before Tuesday night's "Paws for Style" charity event, Anne Craig let the dog out of the bag -- and LC's freaked-out reaction was priceless!
The organizers of the event say L.C. should have known all along she was supposed to walk the carpet (she never did).

TMZ doesn't know what a hissy fit is! She just looks and sounds confused. I think there was a misunderstanding pure and simple. She did everything else they asked her to do. She even donated more money to them than what her travel arrangements cost. If she really was going to flake out why did she do every other thing they wanted, besides the red carpet and then donate her own money to them? She did a good thing and it's sad people in turn want to put her down.

They paid her $20,000 to make a appearance and do that and she didn't do it anyway? Talk about stubborn. Well I think so.
She must have really, seriously not wanted to walk that dog down that runway for some reason cuz it doesn't seem like that big a deal.

I was at the event, and know all the details. Her publicist never told her! I have seen all the emails. It is the publicist's fault and now Lauren and Animal Fair look bad. You can clearly see that when she asked her publicist, and the camera pans, the publicist nods. It's unfair to Lauren and Animal Fair, her publicist needs to be fired!
