Race War Leaves Hasselbeck in Tears
We haven't really been paying close attention to "The View" since Rosie left -- but if Whoopi Goldberg keeps making Elisabeth Hasselbeck cry over the use of the N-word, we'll tune in more often.

421. Why does it seem that so many want to attack Whoopi for merely defending her point I wonder? Is that not the entire premise of "The View", debating issues of importance or at the very least those that the producers of the program consider interesting? I am sorry that so many want to attack Elisabeth, Sherri and Whoopi for merely voicing their opinions, which means that they were not in the wrong or in the right. Certainly the N-word sparks controversy because of its modern day ties and painful legacy but this entire episode may have very well been staged by the producers as a ploy to increase "The View" ratings. Frankly, this program did have a truly promising beginning but like the Oprah show, I think that "The View" has past the point of relevance even in entertainment television. Sometimes they allow these programs to remain on the air long after they cease to be of interest to anyone with the exception of those drawing these enormous salaries from being a member of the staff. I suppose that many would like to see Whoopi, Sherri and Elisabeth disappear but somehow I have a funny feeling that is not going to happen anytime soon, so I suppose the only thing to do, is to stop watching and recording the program perhaps that may help it to tank a little sooner ratings wise.
Just an Humble Thought,
