Celebrity Justice
Round 2 -- Cops Nab "Rampage" Again

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been picked up by police again.

Sources say around 4:30 PM yesterday, friends who were hanging out with Rampage, waved down an Irvine police car after they were worried about his behavior. This, of course, following the insane chase the day before in which the UFC fighter hit several cars in his monster truck and was arrested at gunpoint.

We're told Irvine cops saw Rampage, deemed him a danger to himself and others, and took him to a hospital for observation. Rampage was very cooperative with police.

Cops won't officially confirm if it's a psychiatric hold.

Story developing...

17. To Laila, since you are such a BIG UFC fan, then you should know that these guys dont get punch drunk like boxers do. They dont end up having brain damage. And Dallas, no, we havent heard enough about this guy. If you were a fan of MMA then you would understand how big of a deal this is. He was just on Spike every week coaching the ultimate fighter, then he just fought a five round war with forrest griffen to lose his LHW title. Keep it coming TMZ, im waiting to hear the rest of the story

18. #9 You are an aHole. Mohamed Ali suffers from Parkinsons, the same as Michael J Fox. It has nothing to do with his chosen sport. It's good that he can't exchange his illness for your illness, that would make him less of a human being. You can keep your ignorance, and you know where you can put it.

19. I wouldn't call him a sissy. But, I think the whole "Oh, he must have a medical condition" is a cop-out. It's the easy way out for not being able to handle adversity. Rampage, you lost, get over it, move on, and start training to make up for it.

I have a few in-laws who can't handle failure. So, they blame it on their "mental illnesses." They don't want to work like the rest of us. So, they claim disability due to their supposed "mental illnesses." Get a grip, suck it up and know that your only mental illness is being weak and lazy.

20. I totally wonder after accepting defeat (he was gracious in defeat in his immediate post fight comments ) after the fight, he was coaxed by his trainers (mainly Ibarra) and his team that he was cheated out of the fight and that he should have won.. Its one of those "giving you a sense of hope"...even though the decision was final, and unlikely to be overturned. Im sure he probably wanted to not talk about it but it started to become the big debate if not one of the most controversial fights in a long time....and he probably heard it from almost every person around him. "Rampage you should have won....or Forrest kicked your ass". Im sure he wasnt nieve to know almost every fighter, fan, media took their opinion who won the fight. Anyways, it drove him mad and led us to the events weve seen the past couple days.

21. mich - People don't have "episodes" of bipolar. Bipolar disorder is a permanent mental condition that's not curable, but the symptomst can be reduced through medication.

The important thing is that it's a life-long condition, so when you use it as a momentary excuse, you're incorrect.

24. Irvine police arrested him?!? Ha ha, I bet it is the first time they had to deal with a huge-mad-black guy and were probably pissing in their pants. Irvine police usually only deals with bad asian drivers, so this was probably the highlight of their career for many.

25. Well from what it sounds like and having dealt with this type behavior for atleast 16 years in the medical field, i would
guess it is drug related, whether it be prscription meds for a medical condition or illegal drugs to yes even steriods. BTW, for the person who said steriods will not do this, you are wrong. as fo the piss test, yes thats correct they have piss tests before each event, but they know when and when not to take them like i think it is a few months before a fight and it clears the system something on those lines. But yes indeed these has every classic sign of drug involvment.. not saying intentional or not. I am sure there will be those ppl who respond with stupid replies but unless u have 16 years of higher level medical experience please dont bother responding.

27. Maybe all those forearms to the head have literally unbalanced this man's brain.... Repeated blows to the head can cause neurological issues.

28. #23, if you've got so much medical training then I would consider you to be educated. And for someone who is claiming to be educated, you sure have poor grammar.

I am willing to bet that it's going to come out that Rampage is taking Ambien.

29. This must be some sort of manic episode associated with bi-polar. I hope he gets the help he needs and it sounds like his buddies aren't going to let him pull a Brittney.

30. Makes you wonder if after getting hit in the head all these years, if Rampage is going the Chris Benoit route. They showed the effects of repeated blows to the head and what damage they MAY cause, and after Rampage's recent outbursts and strange behavior this is something that maybe they want to look into. I would hate to see Rampage hurt himself or others (outside of the octogon).
