Celebrity Justice
Round 2 -- Cops Nab "Rampage" Again

Quinton "Rampage" Jackson has been picked up by police again.

Sources say around 4:30 PM yesterday, friends who were hanging out with Rampage, waved down an Irvine police car after they were worried about his behavior. This, of course, following the insane chase the day before in which the UFC fighter hit several cars in his monster truck and was arrested at gunpoint.

We're told Irvine cops saw Rampage, deemed him a danger to himself and others, and took him to a hospital for observation. Rampage was very cooperative with police.

Cops won't officially confirm if it's a psychiatric hold.

Story developing...

36. Joho777, people most certainly do have periods in their life where their bipolar disorder is managed by medications and they do not have either mania or depression, so its incorrect to say that they don't have periods when these symptoms return, i.e. an "episode". We may disagree on the terminology, but have seen this firsthand myself from living with a bipolar person for 6 yrs, I know this to be true. I did not mean to imply that it is something that happens to a person one time, I think that's a narrow reading of what I said. At any rate, I totally echo all the supportive comments on here. This behavior just does not seem in his character and I would have never expected this from him. Its very shocking. I do not think he is on steroids, but even if he is, I dont think it would cause him to act this way...if he is on them, he's must've been taking them for a long time b/c he does not seem infinitely bigger recently and it really, if he just lost a fight, he's probably not training as much and therefore would probably not be on a cycle. I hope he gets the medical help he appears to need.

38. I have really enjoyed watching Rampage over the years and have great admiration for for him. Unless anyone posting is in his "inner" circle, no one has the right to pass judgement on him. My heart goes out to him and his family, especially his children. I hope he gets the help he needs and gets better soon.

39. He obviously has mental issues, and needs medical attention. He may be bipolar, or suffering from major depression. If it is major depression, he may be getting anxiety, panic attacks as well. When you don't know what is wrong with you and you suffer from these diseases (and you're not on medication for it), you can be EXTREMELY unpredictable. I hope he gets on some meds for his issues, and some kind of psychiatric help. There is a light at the end of the tunnel, I just don't think he can see that right now.

I hope you find the help you need Rampage to get your emotions straight, and get you back where you belong; in the octagon kicking a$$!!

42. This just out . . .

UPDATE: This is from Lt. Rick Handfield of the Irvine Police Department via MMAWeekly.com on the most recent situation:

“We did go out to the residence where he was staying at 4:31 p.m. PT (on Wednesday in the city of Irvine, Calif.). We were asked to assist with him and make sure that he was safe and not a danger to himself or others. He was exhibiting some unusual behavior that his friends that were there felt concerned…. At the conclusion of our contact, we did detain him and take him to be seen by mental health professionals. We left him with the mental health professionals.”

45. yes if u don't know him personally u should just keep it shut. Rampage is from my city and went to my school, He is a very down to earth guy whom is experiencing some things right now. He'll be fine in this case he didn't do anything but make his "friends" nervous. Whats the crime in that? He's a big man.
