Might as well call Jeff Archuleta "Geppetto," because it's clear he's still the puppet master behind the scenes of his son's career. Yesterday at LAX, David echoed Daddy's every word.

32. Firstly, he's a celebrity so whether you like it or not, there's going to be mean stuff written about him, no matter how great he is. Yes, David is an amazing kid but i wish his fans would stop assuming they know him and his family. You have no idea what goes on behind anyone's closed doors. I'm not saying the stuff about Jeff Archuleta is true, or it's not, and even if there is some truth to it, it's not like David is going to say anything against his father anyway. And just because you meet Jeff for a few minutes does not mean you know him! Haven't you ever heard the saying 'Looks can be deceiving'. Ever heard of 'acting?' I'm not saying its true in this case, but just don't go defending things when you don't know anything for certain!

34. What a bunch of trash. You can't find any dirt to dig up on David so you go after his Dad. First of all, David is only 17 and the law requires him to have a parent with him. Jeff is the nicest Dad and all of his family, David's fans and the other "idols" just adore him. Just ask David Cook! David has said many times that all these things said about his Dad are garbage and he wishes it would stop. This short little video doesn't tell anything about these wonderful people. Have you checked out the responses for David on the AI concert tour? The crowds have been deafening when he comes on stage. Also, on his myspace page he gets nothing but positive comments from fans all over the world. Leave the Archuleta family alone. They are super, great people.

35. So, as I am scrolling through the comments I am noticing a theme---Jeff Archuleta is not anything like the media wants and is potraying him. Honestly, they were the nice to the camera man, so why be rude to them? David is such a nice, caring kid...give it up already! I find that it's funny when the parents aren't involved enough....the media says: where are the parents, when the parents are involved the media says they are controlling, possessive, etc. Hollywood just can't get it right, huh??

36. This is ridiculous. David's father barely said anything. Any good parent would and should look out for the best interest of their children. Can't you people stand the fact that there are some good, moral teens left in the world? David is an amazing talent! If you don't like his music, don't listen. No need to bash him or his family. I doubt any of the negative posters have ever met David or his family and have no clue what the relationship is between David and his father or anyone else for that matter.

37. Why don't you follow around Tia Tequilla, that is more of TMZ's style. David A. is a minor and the dad is looking out for him from culture vultures like you guys at TMZ. I have seen TMZ's 'work' on other stars and they act like pure trash. They try to get celebs to get upset so they can capture a 'moment' by stooping real low. Well what do you expect for LOW-LIFES at TMZ.
The father is doing what a REAL father should do, protect his son from vultures, like the TMZ vultures.

I must have missed it because I didn't see or HEAR his Dad egging him or prompting him.......They were pleasant...even kind to TMZ....on one hand your team kisses up to get a response from celebs and then you hammer them for no reason when they do....I don't think they should even speak to your crew at times...when you really DISTORT okay even LIE sometimes...on the heading for your videos...I will lplay them because of the banner and then they don't even connect...shame on you TMZ...you don't need to resort to that.

It'll come. He's such a genuinely sweet young man. One can easily tell he's petrified of the media, since he wants to make sure he says the right things. So if Dad says it, then it must be okay to repeat it. Give the kid a break, please! As for Jeff, well he's an adult and up for grabs with the papparazzi.

43. I was just looking at comments on David's "myspace" page and there is a comment by someone who says "my uncle is a co-producer for TMZ. I'm not a big fan of what the papparazzi do to celebrities. You don't deserve any of that sort of treatment." They go on to praise David with admiration for the adversity he struggled with due to vocal paralysis and his courage to do what he's doing. So there, TMZ. And for the poster that says the fans don't know what really goes on behind closed doors - and we don't know what goes on behind closed doors. Why does David Cook defend Jeff along with the other top idols? I'm sure they've seen what goes on behind closed doors. They are actually traveling with Jeff and David on the tour and say that Jeff couldn't be a nicer person.

44. Why do you love to pick on this young man. They are walking through the airport, minding their business, and they make a few statements and you guys just want to make something big out of nothing. His father adores his son and has his best interest at heart. Remember you guys were the ones making so much out of that crap about Jeff duing Idol. Obviously that was blown out of proportion and not even true, and it hurt their entire family. If you dont like this kid then dont follow him. Every time you post something on this kid, you get people putting horrible, negative comments about David, which none are true. He is a very talented young man, and will be around for a very long time, selling millions of DC's. So in the future, if you want to continue filming this kid, say something nice about him and his father.
