K-Fed and Lawyer Cash In

Settlement means payday for K-Fed and his lawyer.
TMZ has learned under the terms of the settlement, that will become a done deal shortly, K-Fed will get more child support, i.e., more jack in his bank. Currently, he pulls in $15,000 a month from Britney. Under the deal, he'll get just south of $20,000.

As for K-Fed's lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, there's something in this settlement for him. Kaplan, who wanted a trial last month, will now settle and get an additional $200,000 from the bank of Britney.

And, we've learned the court has officially vacated the trial date, even though settlement papers have not been filed. So, no trial, and that's the real headline in this case.

P.S. Legal and physical custody were never at issue because of the conservatorship. The fact is, since last month, Brit has almost doubled her custodial time with the kids.

31. Why are their so many haters out there? If you were in K-Feds position you would do the same. K-Fed has already got a job. He's doing exactlly what a lot of women do; find a successful person and hang on to them until it's time to call it quits or until your able to get half their money. More power to him. He deserves it.

32. How dare anyone talk about "cashing in" on this sad situation. It is almost impossible to have this deal occur without significant support from Britney and her representatives. I doubt Federline would even have obtained legal custody in a custody trial. IPhysical custody, yes, but not legal custody. It's extremely rare.

This simply points to a fact that some people want to avoid: Britney has serious mental issues of a long-term nature that will preclude her from making any important decsions about the children. Thank heavens someone, most likely her dad, has made her see some sense and acted in the best interests of the children. I also am tempted to suggest that the report from the court monitor would have been supportive of something like this arrangement too. That's just my guess though.

33. Brit is a loser. she will never get custody again. NEVER. She cant even mangage her won life. She is a loon!!! The reason she didint want court was hse didint want her drug addcit ways to be public knowledge, she was going to lose anyways.

Britney wont get anymore custody, this is Lawyer BS. She will NEVER get unssupervised visits. Just wait until the courts release her form her circus cage (conservatorship) they have her on now. She will screw up so bad this will all be a mute point.

She never wanted those kids. GO KFED. I love how you morns thinks he doesnt work. He made according to court papers $1.3 million last year. Brit ows him the 20k per month, if not more...becasue she cant pull her weight as a parent!!! Hell $240k per year is only 2-3% of what she makes.

35. I'd say giving him sole physical & legal custody of the kids validates my feelings that she is NOT NOW and may NEVER be mentally and emotionally stable enough to have 50/50 custody again. Wish they'd just sterilize her so she can't have anymore kids.

36. What's not being reported by the TMZ losers is that SLUTney has given GAYfed full custody rights. She now only has the opportunity to see her kids at supervised visits; she can't keep them overnight.

More than anything, this points to the fact that she's a total lost cause. She still needs a parent to tell her how to do everything; she's not allowed to do anything for herself. She's obviously still mentally erratic & deranged; just view her recent crotch flashing incidents, and it's clear to see she's going downhill again. Bottom line - she's mentally ill, and will probably remain that way for the rest of her life. Time to get a new idol to suck up to, SLUTney sychophants; this retard ain't worth your adoration...

38. K Fed was Always in it for the money , his payday was going to end last august so he had to do something drastic. Kaplan (K Fed attorney) Forced the courts to make Britney pay him Now over $400,000 .
They are really Stealing from Britney and someone should Review this Case.

Well I have to admit that I enjoy the man in charge of TMZ and have enjoyed him since People's Court started but honestly give them (Brit and K-Fed) a break..I'm very pleased that Brit is getting more time with her boys and I think honestly that she and K-Fed were doing well - she's the one that called off the marriage if I recall correctly..

Let the two parents (Brit and K-Fed) get their lives together for their children's best interest whether it be seperate or together..

45. Well, of course Britney's "happy" with the outcome. She never wanted the responsibility of motherhood in the first place. The longer she could "pull off" being mentally incapacitated, the better her chances of losing custody, and she knew it! Now, let's all watch at how dramatically she retains her formal "normal behavior"! She must be elated that she can now focus 100% on her career. Those poor kids.
