Coke Arrest + Disney = No Tour

You would think the band name alone would have made the Barenaked Ladies too hot for Disney -- but a cocaine arrest sealed the deal.

The popular band has pulled out of the Disney Music Block Party planned for late August in Long Island. Their manager announced on the band's site, "Members of the band completely support Steven Page, but we don't want to put Disney in an awkward position before issues involving Steven's arrest are resolved."

Steven Page, lead singer of the Barenaked Ladies, was arrested on July 11 for allegedly possessing cocaine.

Steven Page and the Barenaked ladies have worked very hard to get where they are. Just because a guy enjoys a little recreational cocaine it is no reason to bash him or his bandmates. So many people do this, it does not make it legal but there are many , many worse things he could be doing. Take a look at some of the other current rockstars and celebs and what they get away with, I don't have to mention names because thre are so many. Certain stars admit to being in gangs, dealing and doing drugs, call women and each other filthy, filthy names and they wear it as a badge of honour.Good luck in what you have to face and hold your Canadian head high!!!
p.s. maybe a new song with a dance called the twelve step hustle and bustle

Sometime firms act odd.

Hopefully the rest of the media industry will continue to work as they usually do. If they don't the result could be a huge loss of jobs.

why did they agree to do a Disney gig in the first place, leave that to the American Idol set

22. Imagine how fat this guy would be without the cocaine. He needs more cocaine and some methamphetamine in order to lose weight. Doctors used to prescribe amphetamines for weight loss. Now the doctors make the patient undergo bariatric surgery in order to lose weight.
