18. This is total BS. Clearly, they had a family fight, which can raise tempers to all hell, he got heated and pushed her out of the way. We dont know the severity of it, but it appears it was not anything serious. This is being completely overblown and his reps need to come out with a much stronger denial that their bland statement earlier this aft. Clearly, his mother and sister did this to hurt him and it will hurt him. Knowing the dynamics of families can be difficult, I will not hold this against him at all.

19. I honestly can't believe that his mother and sister would do that to him. I don't know what the altercation was about, but I'm sure there was absolutely no reason to go and call the police about it. Sounds to me like she just wanted a bit of drama to go down and poor Christian got the blunt of it. During the biggest movie of his career this far no less. That's just entirely unsympathetic and he should have been able to at least enjoy the feeling for a bit longer rather than have his face plastered onto every website the day after the premiere claiming he assaulted his relatives. I'm sorry about that Christian. Everyone gets a few of those in their family I suppose.

All of you saying stuff about she needed it, reverse it and I doubt you would hit or evenpush your mother.If they had been black,there would have been a stabbing. 22. Personally I think this is pretty much a case of jealousy and greed-not only over money but also quite possibly over getting some attention. Mom and sis need to leave him and his family alone and get some help-much less a life. From the instant I heard about all this I knew that this was just some overblown attempt to cause trouble for Christian and for those two moochers to get some attention. The whole timing of this was also suspicious-after his film did so very well here in the US (and it is a good film btw) and its premiere in the UK just so happened to be going on or about to happen just seemed a bit odd to me for such a thing to occur-besides for them to be putting him through embarassing torment like this when he's family to them was just even more low and suspicious. If this is just a non-existent or extremely minor crime then drop the 'charges' or completely toss out the case and save everyone some money and from humiliation.
People like his mother and sister should be ashamed of themselves for stooping to such a lowdown dirty position like this. This is not a good example for them to be setting for his daughter. The poor girl should never see her grandma and auntie be this mean to her daddy-especially over nothing.

29. While we don't know the whole story, I think it would be pretty stupid of mom and sis to report him for such a small infraction. There must be more going on here. Either with him or with his family's relationship with him. Honestly, the first thing I though when I heard this story was roid rage or something like it. He's gotten awfully big in a small period of time. But who knows... he could be entirely innocent. I just think that family wouldn't try to destroy a man at the pinnacle of his success unless something more important were on the line... like his health or sanity.

I could be totally wrong though... who knows?

30. Bale's mother didn't want him to act anymore and wanted to settle down in the UK.

Bale's father and Bale himself wanted to, though, and moved to Hollywood to start his career, leaving the rest of the family (including the mother) in the UK.

So stop acting like you know their family situations, let them work it out.
