Paul McCartney: Bigger Than Jesus?

Paul McCartney has the security detail of a king in Quebec. Even with that, five motorcycle cops, two police cruisers and countless bodyguards on foot patrol couldn't keep back the mass of fans that swarmed him outside his concert.

For one fan, this run-in with Sir Paul was better than meeting the Apostle Paul.

Quebec French are FAMOUS for LOSING to the English at the Plains of Abraham! And you're STILL whining about it 400 years later! LOL @ YOU!

Wow... Your life must sucks my friend... By the way, the British won the battle in 1759, not 400 years ago!

36. To Charley:

Quebec City is celebrating its' 400th Anniversary and that's why McCartney was there:

The Plains of Abraham was the site of the pivotal 1759 battle between British General James Wolfe and France's Marquis Louis-Joseph de Montcalm. The French lost and have been whining ever since.

Montreal WAS a nice, vibrant city once but the Separatistes won the election in Nov of 76 and approx 250,000 Montrealers headed out to Toronto and environs. Once the Anglo money left and businesses closed, housing prices plummeted and tourist type areas such as Ste. Catherines Street, Guy Street, DeMaisonneuve, Mountain and Crescent Streets got dirty and the city itself began to look old and tired like an old and tired whore.

In fact, Montreal never looked as good as it did for Expo 67.

My life doesn't 'suck', don't make stupid assumptions. I live in Ontario, where you're not persecuted if you speak English... Bill 101 is why so many Anglos like me chose to leave.

I was born and raised in and around Montreal: NDG, Westmount, Laval and St. Bruno.

I was pointing out to 'John' not to be so ignorant in asking Americans how much they know about Quebec... the reality is that most Canadians know where it is but don't care. There's a LOT of French/English animosity that goes on beyond the scope of this blog.

37. Paul is the greatest songwriter of all times, and belonged to the greatest band ever.
Comparing him or anyone to Jesus is stupid tho. Shame on you TMZ

38. The commotion about the comparison with The Beatles & Jesus back in the 60's was bad enough and taken out of context.
It wasn't even John's intention. Give it a rest! There is NO comparison between a Beatle and Jesus Christ. We may idolize Paul, which we need to put in perspective. We are blessed to have him and enjoy him, but he's NO God. God gave him to us though, so let's PRAISE God for it. Paul has been very blessed to have been given good looks and such talent BY GOD.
