Britney Spears is a famously bad driver and it may be an inherited trait.
According to the Enquirer, in 1975 Lynne hit and killed a 12-year-old boy who was riding his bike in Kentwood. The article says Lynne was driving her brother to the hospital when the incident occurred.
A rep for Lynne told the tabloid "It bothers Lynne still to this day," adding, "She really doesn't like to talk about it. She just wanted to forget that it ever happened -- but she can't."

That is so terribly sad! It was an accident. If it was not an accident then she would have obviously had to pay the price. It must be horrible to live with that. Brit's bad driving while on a cell phone, smoking a cigarette, being chased by paps should not be compared to this. STFU!!!!! It is not necessary to act like you have any idea what the facts are because you don't!

Thanks TMZ for letting us know. To those of you that are angry with TMZ for reporting this, get over it. This is what happens when you are or want to be a pubic figure. Wonder if Lynne's cancelled book included a chapter on how to deal with being a killer? I'm surprised Britney has killed someone with her awful driving. Maybe there is a genetic link, called entitlement. By the way, First Lady Laura Bush killed someone with a vehicle many years ago. She doesn't like to talk about it either. Guess it "bothers" her too. Two peas in a pod as far as I'm concerned.

Its Lynne Spears that SUCKS. How dare she dismiss that 12 year olds life that? A proper answer would be i think about their family each and every day.

Cindy, first off, it's not like Lynn has exactly been bragging about it- it was dug up how many years later? Secondly, I'm sure no one would forget it, but how do you respond to some jackass who decides they want to make a story out of it over 20 years later.
