Britney Spears is a famously bad driver and it may be an inherited trait.
According to the Enquirer, in 1975 Lynne hit and killed a 12-year-old boy who was riding his bike in Kentwood. The article says Lynne was driving her brother to the hospital when the incident occurred.
A rep for Lynne told the tabloid "It bothers Lynne still to this day," adding, "She really doesn't like to talk about it. She just wanted to forget that it ever happened -- but she can't."

TMZ - I'm sure the family of the child wants to thank you for making their nightmare gossip fodder. Shame to all the "news" outlets for sensationalizing this. SHAME

That is a very tragic thing to happen. You didn't give any details about how it happened. Did the boy ride a bike or run out in front of her without warning? Obviously if she had done it out of carelessness she would've been arrested since she wasn't rich back then and Brit wasn't famous. She won't ever be able to forget it, but I feel sure it was a tragic accident, not something did carelessly. But hey, she's not the saintly woman she tries so hard to seem like. Why don't you ever bring up the fact that she cheated on her husband? Now that is something worthy of TMZ and something she did that was wrong. They say her husband cheated on her too and it's been brought out in the past. Why not bring out her adultery? She is no less guilty than him. That would be fitting and just. But this horrible accident -- that's uncool to bring it up.

This is the lowest. I don't like this woman either -- she is many trashy things - but why don't we talk about how ugly she's getting to be, how conceited she is, how she pimped and robbed Brit, how she allowed Jamie Lynn and her church going boyfriend to lay up together and f**k right in her own home, how she cheated on her husband, how she with her college education only encouraged Jamie Lynn to get a GED, how she neglected Brit's education, and so on and on ... she's not the nice person, the good saintly lady she tries to act like, but hey, that accident may have been long ago but a family still grieves for their dead child and it seems like that was a tragic accident. The lady is ugly and vain and trashy -- we have enough on her to talk about her til Kingdom Come without hurting that dead boy's family more after all these years.

To those of you who are upset over her trying to forget this ever happened, read the freakin article. She doesn't say she's trying to forget it; an unnamed source does. Unnamed is code for We Made This Up Cause it's More Interesting That Way.
To bring this up decades later will just cause more pain for the family of the boy killed, but there's a pretty good chance that neither TMZ or the Enquirer give a flying f about that little boy.

she looks just as ugly in this picture, it didn't improve her one bit. You can hurt her just as much publicizing how ugly and old she quickly getting to be. Believe me, she can't stand that, she's so in love with herself. But dont hurt that kid's family. 33 years ago it happened and maybe Lynne wants to forget it but his family remembers and grieves still.

Britney's a bad driver because she thinks she can do anything, get away with anything she wants to, and the public and the courts have allowed her to do just that -- she isn't careful because she knows she won't be punished for her bad driving or anything else. As for Lynne, well, she's a trashy bit of goods but obviously this accident was just that -- a tragic accident. It doesn't matter if Lynne suffered then and/or still suffers from remembering it -- she is not important, the child's family who lost him is what matters.
