After a busy day in jail on Tuesday, Christian Bale got back to promoting his film and hit up "The Dark Knight" premiere in Barcelona today.
We're told he signed autographs... but didn't answer any reporter questions. Of course he didn't.

8. I couldn't agree with you more. TMZ should lay off the guy! If you must cover hin than at least be supportive!!! Just because hes being a professional and doing whats asked of him inspite of his craaaaazy money hungry mom and sis. 13. whatado, Why would they need to draw attention away from Heath Ledger? Everyone agrees that he did a fantastic job, he's being suggested for a posthumous Oscar, and the movie ads and tie-ins feature the Joker. Heath's accidental overdose hasn't had any negative effect on the movie at all.
I think that this situation is exactly what it sounds like. Mom made Christian choose between her and his father. He chose his father and went on to make millions and now she's upset that she's not getting what she considers her share of the money and/or fame. And sis, who chose Mom, is upset that she picked the losing side.
Get a grip. It's not all about Heath.

14. I can be one of the few to say I have been a fan of Christian Bale since Empire of the Sun. I own a copy of the film and watch it atleast once a year....too intense for regular viewing...and heartbreaking too. I am happy for his success with the Batman franchise both for him and for the Batman series as well. It is even better now than it was with Tim Burton at the helm and I am a huge Tim Burton fan but I have to admit it is better now. I am just sorry that Christian Bale now has to go through this regular stardom crap that happens in so many families once a member gets famous. Next they will be writing tell-all books (see Madonna's brother). It is sad that even the families of these people feed off them. That is why it is not our business to judge when a celebrity cuts ties with a family member. They probably have very good reason. We have first bagged on Jennifer Aniston for not even inviting her mother to her wedding and now bash Angelina Jolie over her past split with her father. But if Christian Bale now chose to not speak to his mom and sister, we'd all understand. Live and let live. or as Paul McCartney sings, "Live and let die."
