16. I can be one of the few to say I have been a fan of Christian Bale since Empire of the Sun. I own a copy of the film and watch it atleast once a year....too intense for regular viewing...and heartbreaking too. I am happy for his success with the Batman franchise both for him and for the Batman series as well. It is even better now than it was with Tim Burton at the helm and I am a huge Tim Burton fan but I have to admit it is better now. I am just sorry that Christian Bale now has to go through this regular stardom crap that happens in so many families once a member gets famous. Next they will be writing tell-all books (see Madonna's brother). It is sad that even the families of these people feed off them. That is why it is not our business to judge when a celebrity cuts ties with a family member. They probably have very good reason. We have first bagged on Jennifer Aniston for not even inviting her mother to her wedding and now bash Angelina Jolie over her past split with her father. But if Christian Bale now chose to not speak to his mom and sister, we'd all understand. Live and let live. or as Paul McCartney sings, "Live and let die."

He's a terrific actor, his performance was as stellar as Ledgers, and if he raised his voice at his naggy mother, so be it! He's human after all!

18. I agree that this unfortunate incident takes away from an actor(s) time to shine in what I felt was a fantastic movie. At the same time, I try not to dwell on the negativity nor attempt to understand or even explain the incident that occurred. No one was witness to it other than those involved; other than the brief info that the London Police provided, Im sure most of this info is speculation,rumors, etc.... Let it go already.

Batman movie rocked. Christian Bale and Heath Ledger were brilliant!

20. Somebody's reaching, as there is a FAR CRY between going to a police station for questioning and spending the day in jail. It disgusts me to read how you have judged without all the facts. I guess you think it's better to assume that a person's guilty before they are proven innocent. You might want to go back to law school, Levin, and get your head out of your ass.

21. Oh my goodness, he is so HOT! I must admit that I was very shocked to hear the news about Bale yesterday, but I guess all of this comes with the job of being the hot actor with the hot movie of the moment. Regardless of what actually went down between his mom and sister, you all must admit that it is still sad, when a family has to air it's dirty laundry out in public. I hope it all gets resolved amicably. However, I know what's it's like to have both my mom and sister get together and talk about me. Sometimes I want to smack them both around privately also, so he can blame Christian for whatever went down. Plus, he does have that crazy, gazed look to him, but damn, he is still so SEXY!

26. well he obviously made the right choice years ago to live with his dad, but now mommy and sister are jealous of all his success and feel the need to bitch at him and insult his wife because they are sad, pathetic golddigging pigs. sorry girls, youre not getting any of his money now.
