Novak Veers Too Far Right, Hits Pedestrian

Robert Novak, the really old dude who writes a syndicated column and is a talking head on all the cables, nailed a pedestrian in DC this AM in his black Corvette.

But wait, it gets a lot better. According to WJLA TV and Politico, Novak didn't even stop, reportedly saying, "I didn't know I hit him." He finally pulled over after pissed off witnesses started honking like crazy.

Novak, who hosted a show on CNN, was put in a police car but not arrested and finally cited for failing to yield.

Novak is known for being an aggressive driver, telling the Washington Post's Reliable Source column back in 2001, "I really hate jaywalkers. I despise them. Since I don't run the country, all I can do is yell at 'em. The other option is to run 'em over, but as a compassionate conservative, I would never do that."

The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, was taken to George Washington University Hospital with minor injuries.

16. Novak is a columnist and yes, they do have opinions. However, he is a professional. You may not agree with his politics but he would not maliciously run someone down. I know everyone was kidding about that. Right? He's 77 with a busy work life and I believe he was so engrossed in the NPR zone that he zoned.

17. He has Jesus on his side. Jesus hates pedestrians.

18. God, the harpie trying to badger the man in to saying something juicy is annoying as hell. What an obnoxious cow. I pity the viewers in her locale! Ugh.

19. Christ, you people saying he sweved to dislodge the pedestrian from his hood need to have your heads examined. The police would have cited him had they any evidence whatsoever that it was voluntary hit and run, and the guy's car suffered no damage. He's driving it away in the tape! Get a grip.

20. Read the local news link. The witness confirmed that the pedestrian had the right of way and was in the crosswalk. The witness had to pedal ahead on his bike and stop Novak! And to my understanding, the police generally cite you for a lesser offense until the investigation is complete. If the pedestrian is found to have more severe injuries, charges will certainly be upgraded. And for the person who commented that his car suffered no damage: we had a case in my local area in the last couple of years where a pedestrian was hit and killed. The car showed only minor damage around the left headlight. It's the speed, angle, and where the pedestrian sustained the injury to his body that makes the difference.

I'm always amused at the people that write comments defending such low-lifes as Novak. Generally, they can't spell (Legimate) and demonstrate an inability to use correct grammar (TMZ why do you Slander him). That gives me a clue about the mental abilities of such persons. I enjoy reading such tripe. It just proves my point that the conservative masses in American are ignorant bottom-feeders.
