50 Cent wants dollars -- lots of 'em -- from Taco Bell for jacking his "good name" for a low-budget promo.

Fitty claims in a Federal lawsuit that the burrito slingers stole his identity by encouraging him to change his name to 79 Cent, 89 Cent, or 99 Cent as part of a less-than-a-dollar-menu promo. While he doesn't address the total idiocy of the campaign in the suit, Mr. Cent does claim he wasn't told about the ad until he heard about it in the news -- whereupon he totally disavowed it.

Reps for Taco Bell didn't immediately comment.

20. Taco Bell needs to pay up Their spokeperson's comments are a joke. They need to pay the 4 million. The nerve of them, you have to get permission first. 50 cent is worth a lot more then a 10,000 donation to charity. Read the story at yahoo.com

23. 50 Cent is just like every other artist, actor, or athlete he just wants to be fairly compensated for his trademark. The law is the law, and even if you think his name is stupid or whatever, if he's got the intellectual property rights for that name you have to pay. Just like Kleenex or Coke. You can't asked for a RC Cola and say "Hey give me that Coke". If it's a RC it's a RC. And you can't have a daycare and put Disney characters all over your building. Disney will have you remove it or sue you.

25. 50 Cent has the right to collect if his name and trademark was used without his consent. I read the other comments made and, I wonder if this happened to Ms. Lohan or any white celebrity, would the popular view be the same!!!! I don't know maybe it's just me but it seem that because he is a black ruff and tumble kid from the streets that made it, people are disgusted by him like he has no right to be wealthy or is not worthy of his fame. Some one made a comment about his stupid made up stage name well, there are plenty of unique names out there that is what makes you stand out and, since he is a gangsta Rapper than he took the name of a notorious street personality from Fort Green Brooklyn. In closing stop hating on this black man that has turned him self in to a living icon, he is rich, talented, and black so stop hating!!!!!!!!!!!
