Bindi Irwin -- Let Her Eat Cake

Bizarrely mature tween Bindi Irwin is ten years old today.
Bindi turns 10
Bindi looked ecstatic just before cutting into her dead father's image on her birthday cake. Check out brother Bob's face as he's about to get a slice. Crikey!

106. All the criticism towards Bindi is earned, she's got to be able to take it since she and her homely mother have been choosing to live off of the dead father. If you can't take the heat...ya know. She wouldn't get the criticism if she wasn't trying to hog a media spotlight. They're a very homely odd, creepy family that should yes, get a makeover if they want to do the media thing. And bindi should not rap. Never never. Never rap, its like a painful car wresck to watch when she performs.

107. There are a lot of ugly people on this discussion board. I can't believe our culture has come to the point where it is accepted--and presumed funny--to make fun of a child's appearance. It makes me sad to think about what a shallow world we live in that rather than seeing the joy on a child's face as she celebrates another day without her father, people weigh in on the value of her appearance. Celebrity gossip can be a fun distraction from our everyday lives, but adults should never stoop to this level. I truly feel bad that some of you were raised in an environment that led you to think what you said was funny or acceptable. I hope that you all find INNER happiness some day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY BINDI!!!

109. OMG people, this is a child your all talking about!! A LITTLE GIRL! Grow up or grow a heart and stop being so cruel. She's not ugly, she's a little girl. I hardly think the mom is "selling" out her children, they're simply moving on and doing what they've always done which is share a part of their lives with the public. Who the hell cares if her deceased fathers face is on a cake! If it made the children who tragically lost their father happy than that's a very positive thing! I'm hoping all the people who made those stupid remarks are adolecents, and not actual adults, that would just be too scary.

110. What is with you people? You must be really sad pathetic people to sit here and talk trash about a 10 year old girl.... Yes, her father died and yes he was famous but she was starting her own show before he died, and she has been surrounded by this life style since she was born so she is not trying to get famous from her dad! You people need to get a life....

111. to those of you who have not lost your child's father? shut your mouth. what do you know about it? just because their dead does not mean they are gone. As a mom of a dead father, so what if she put him on a cake! i can assure you Bindi loved it. I've never thought of that myself, but it would be special if i had. small minded people.

112. I just don't understand all the criticism of Bindi Irwin. The girl is dedicated to a worthy cause and is more poised, focused and successful than most adults. I wish her all the best.

113. Bindi’s birthday was on the 24th of july, and on her birthday cake was an image of her father Steve and her mother and baby brother. what i cannot understand is that so many people have a problem with that. Why, WHY, should she have to forget her father, WHY, is it not alowed to think of her father on a day like this. She loved her dad, she misses him, but still she is laughing, she looks happy, and i yust want to say to all the people that make stupid remarks about her, GET A LIFE, and leave the kid alone. I think Terri is doing a great job, and that both of the kids look very happy. Sure you have to live on, but I donot see nowhere that they are not doing that. And what kind of person are you to say about a bright, sparkling little girl that she is ugly, I wonder if this person is an adult, this person should be ashamed of him/her self.

114. This wording is terrible and really sucks!!! her dead father's image??? Give me a break! That is awful! By the way that is a picture of Bindi as a little one. She had blonde hair!!! Shame on all the negative comments and potshots. Are we not adults? Bindi is a cute little minx, trying to carry on her Daddy's work. He instilled pride and values and raised her to know how important it is to take care of the animals, and the environment. They are not dwelling on Steve's death, just celebrating; without both Steve and Teri, Bindi would not be here. Lighten up, guys. It is mean, rotten and very very childish to attack and call children names. I wish more parents would instill goodness in their children; not mean ness. The bumper sticker says, "Mean-spirited "parents create mean spirited kids. **Children mimic their parents, SO if there are mean, vicious and obnoxious kids around, everything they learned came from their parents!!! Happiest Birthday, Bindi and thank you for being a very young role model!!!

115. The guy is dead let him rest in peace, the mom will stop at nothing to make a buck! Exploiting the kids to sell cheap crap. IBindi is it? She is more annoying then any child I have ever seen. Lucky for me they have invented DVR and the mute button.
He died, he was somewhat cool and charming the rest of them put on some normal clothes and make a life of your own.

116. If we teach our children to be positive, caring and supportive individuals, they will be productive members of society. It is easy to love the lovely, and neglect or pass over those who are different/ not as lovely or as talented. This could be parents, grandparents, brothers/sisters/friends and sadly, teachers and coaches having their favorites!!!
Name calling and judging seems to be the start of self esteem problems; and this is only the beginning! Then people are shocked and ask what happened in Columbine? That's an easy one folks! Children were taught to make fun of and to hurt others, from their parents---their "role" models!!! Look to the parents and their example. Bindi is a sweet, adorable young lady, with a mission. She will be successful due to the training from her parents. Let's try to be adults and take responsibility for each word that comes out of our mouths. This means to say kind, and nice words, folks!

117. Happy Birthday, Bindi!! Every child should be as well adjusted as her.. I hope Terri will re marry somewhere down the line....

118. She is the most obnoxious child on Earth, and the mother should be ashamed of herself for pimping out her kid.

Does this girl even go to school?

120. She is adjusting well and she obviously keeps the "mrs" going. As for her appearance, give me a break! All ten year olds are at an awkward stage. Besides, looks are not everything. Would that our American "princesses" had half her brain.
