The City That Doesn't Sleep ... with Married People

Times Square has been hooker-free for years, but even legal sex is being run out of town.

AshleyMadison.com, the controversial dating site for married people, unveiled a new billboard in midtown Manhattan on Monday. But after receiving a deluge of complaints, the sign, which was supposed to run for six weeks, was taken down faster than Eliot Spitzer.

New York can be a hard city to stay up in.

I've certainly heard of Craiglist but have never visited the site. Now I'm thinking I might not want to....

Ha-ha-ha!

19. OCD -

You're funny. ;-)

Craigslist is a great place to buy stuff or sell stuff. I spend most of my time looking at the pet section. I rescue the rats when I can.

20. I was just reading an article about this and how the billboards were causing such controversy in other towns. But the press about the billboards is doubling there business. Most people didn't know about the website till people started bashing the billboards. But I agree, they should of NEVER went up in the first place.

22. This is a sad day for human beings to know that a service is out there for adulterers!!! If people are that unhappy in their marrage, get the hell out and then play the field.

Well if you found a truck and a cute dog, then maybe I'll rethink it and check out Craiglist. I have a serious jones for a Smart Car fortwo. Yellow. Well, I might take red or blue or white. Oh hell. I'd take any color I could find. I want one in the worst sort of way. I'm a car ho. I'd cheat on my current car in a red hot minute.

27. I work in pharmaceuticals and specialize in virology -- hepatitis and HIV. While some may claim, "Men cheat," when you have the health and well-being of another person at stake, and possibly offspring, to do so is selfish and disgusting. If I were required to take antivirals with numerous side effects for the remainder of my life because my wife cheated, I would be very, very angry. This service is a blight on mankind.

Keep it in your pants or talk to a lawyer. You have choices. Make responsible ones.

28. Who would pay money to this website... oh my ex that's who. Cheating bastard!!!

29. Which brilliant TMZ staffer declared this "legal sex"? Adultery in the state of New York is a class B misdemeanor, punishable by up to 1 year in jail and a $2000 fine. If only we prosecuted this crime....

30. As a survivor of a cheating wife, I have to say how an ad like that hurts. It is not just offensive, it is a trigger to my PTSD. If you wat to sleep around, do not get married. And if you want to run a dating service for those "married" people, then do not advertise it. Have some sympathy for those who have SUFFERED a horrible indignity by a cheating spouse.
