"Star" Search for "Dancing" Still in Limbo

Sources tell TMZ that the casting for the next season of "Dancing With The Stars" is far from complete. Producers still are scrambling on specifics and contestants.

Taking a page from Jerry Springer, the producers are trying to create some major drama, possibly by pairing exes up against each other or people who have had some sort of turbulent relationship.

Talks with Kim Kardashian, Warren Sapp, Lance Bass and "Brady Bunch" mama Florence Henderson have been confirmed. Another younger Brady also may be on board. Paging Chris Knight!


We're also told the show wants to have a contestant who has beat a disease or currently is battling a disease to be the emotional kicker this year. Heartwarming!

The formal cast announcement is scheduled for late August.

19. Not kim k, she's a pig! Seriously you want some nasty fat chick that has only done a reality show to be in something called dancing with the stars? Wow our entertainment industry must be hurting there should be a 5 year in the business minimum for a show using the word star in it. Not a 15 min girl that is only getting print work and some garbage reality show where she's a guest star in. I'm sure they pay well, they are making enough money hire some people that you would want on abc at 8 not vh1 or a&e at 10. sad sad day oh well I don't even watch the show so what do I care. Hire the beast! Also come clean kim k you like tattooed white dudes everyone in hollywood has seen it.

22. It is not a level playing field. Some of the contestants have years of dancing experience. Others are there for their name recognition.

23. How about NOT promoting a TV show with a disease! So disgusting what people will do to get on television these days. Just have some regular people pair up with a celeb and see how it goes- its not that hard to create drama. Just dont make us look at the f-ed up face of that hag Robin Anton from PCDs. or Paris and DO NOT book any of those Kardashian suckholes...
