I'm a black woman and john is not a racist, his band mates are blacks, some of his friends are black, he is friends with that old legend guitar player who is black, most musicians are surrounded by all kinds of people, john even have a large followers of blacks, his music transcends, please don't start rumors or lies about him, he is one of the good guys, believe me i know a racist, and john is not one of them. he is the nicest guy, he does not deserve the hate, i always blog on john's behalf, i have been a fan for 3 yrs. he is interested in charities, find out more about people before you judge them. good luck john, continue success.

Can you read? Good, then try reading the Gawker article posted at #58 and kindly explain how my calling him out for the RACIST that he is in any way constitutes a LIE? He used the word N*igger repeatedly on stage, thought it was HILARIOUS, and when called out on it never once apologized. At least Michael Richards had the good sense (and presence of mind) to acknowledge the error of his ways. But since Mayer thinks he is God's gift to comedy (and to the world), he uses the vile word with impunity.

And I am sick of ignorant Blacks acting like grateful plantation house negros, quick to defend Massa and his use of this socially and morally irresponsible term. The juvenile argument that he isn't a racist because he has Black "friends" is almost too stupid to acknowledge. Stop jumping to defend the indefensible, just becuse you are so thrilled when Massa allows you to carry his bags and wipe his a**. Stop being an apologist for him. Mayer has ZERO Black friends. A FRIEND is someone whom you respect. He obviously has not a shred of respect for Blacks or he would NEVER sink to use a term that was the very bedrock of Black lynching, murder, rape and genocide. As long as there are Blacks like you who are too myopic and unthinking to confront him on his racism, he will continue to think his words are FUNNY rather than irresponsible. I wonder if Jews would be as quick to defend him as you are if he stood on a stage yelling K*ke all evening? But he would never do that because he actually DOES have JEWISH friends whom he RESPECTS.
