Justin Guarini Is a First Place Loser

Judging by the look on Justin Guarini's face, it's frightening how big of a difference it makes to come in second place.

While Kelly Clarkson has played the big people stage at Universal's Gibson Amphitheater -- "American Idol" runner-up Justin Guarini is forced to rock out a free gig on the City Walk.

16. Hey, GoAway ... sorry to disappoint you -- just one of Justin's MANY fans here. Salud to you. Justin was looking FOINE and sounding great last night, oh yes. TMZ got this one wrong.

17. What a shame. He had a really good cd, has a great voice. It just wasn't the right time for him. He'll come back around.

19. Really? Sideshow Bob? Oldest joke in the book...get a new one please.

GoAway...he does in fact have a RP person. Same as Zac Efron as a matter of fact. So there ya go.

He's been getting tons of messages just in the past 12 hours about how much people enjoyed his show. There were tons of people there.

He's still doing what he loves years later, and making a good living off of it.

22. Looks like someone stuck a fork in Justin. Probably checking to see if his career was done. Next stop mall openings and bingo halls.

23. Looks like Justin got his whole Ginny family blogging here today.

Who's is going to cook dinner tonight with the family busy blogging on their computers?

I really look forward to seeing Justin at the Palm Dale county fair! You go stud!

24. I like Justin.. I hope he goes far. On the other hand, look how far Clay Aiken has gone (being in 2nd place) and poor Reuben Studdard just doesn't seem to have gone as far...

25. I'm not a fan of Justin's music, but he seems like a nice kid. Why all the nastiness, TMZ? I notice it didn't take you long to remove a good mention of Aiken and his trip to Kenya and Somaila for UNICEF. Can't let these young Idols get any good PR on this site, can ya? It would make your look stupid.

26. This concert was very disappointing. Justin simply looked awkward on stage. I appreciated that fact he was trying to show charisma to the best of his ability, but there really was no stage presence. His three background vocalists were absolutely TERRIBLE, sounded bad, and had very, very little energy. The comradery of the band as a whole just wasn't there. It was cover song after cover song (terrible selection of songs) with very little time devoted to original music, which will define you as an artist. When Justin spoke between songs, he didn't do himself any favors. Seven years after being on "American Idol," he's thanking fans for voting for him as if a show just happened last night? His band is comprised of good musicians, but his management team, as well as Justin, need to come up with a set of songs that is more current to today's standards and simply bring more energy to the stage. I don’t think Justin knows quite yet who he is as an artist.

27. You think that's bad? I live in a tiny town in the middle of nowhere, and Justin was here performing at our Florida Forestry Festival a while back. Talk about a bad gig!

But he was a trooper, and looked and sounded great before his audience of a few dozen.

28. You must have been at a different concert or you have an agenda, Reece, because Justin performed several original songs including his popular "Missing You". As for bad choice of soings I have to laugh since his versions of "Get Here" has become his signature song and his amazing version of LST catapulted him to second place on AI. And yes, he's gracious enough to thank his fans for voting even after all these years. Remember when Kelly got slammed by the media for being 'ungrateful'? Never hurts to be gracious.

Maddy, I think the Clay post was removed because TMZ doesn't allow direct links. But let them carp all over him, Justin and the rest; all it proves is that they still have fans that care even after all these years.

29. Hey, I was at CityWalk on Sat. night, didn't know Justin would be there, but when my friends and I heard he was singing we decided to check it out. Awesome high energy performance, big crowd showing some serious love. Leave the guy alone!

30. He is very ugly, he has to cut his ugly hair. The dude is very arrogant and I don't feel sorr for his ass.
