Amy Winehouse Goes to the University ... Hospital

Sigh ...

Amy Winehouse was rushed to a hospital in London late Monday. A spokesman for the popwreck says she was taken to an emergency room at University College Hospital.

He says did not know why she was taken to the hospital. We can venture a guess.

A rep for Winehouse gave us this excuse: "Amy Winehouse suffered a reaction to medication at home this evening and was taken to hospital. Doctors have advised that she will be kept under observation overnight and is likely to be released tomorrow."

31. Not a false rumor. I read it on a very credible site. It was atrributed to her spokesperson Chris. Until the BBC or Sky confirms, I won't believe it myself.

34. Who cares? I know, nobody...she's a nobody, she's only a name because she's always in the hospital and because of the ridiculous hair...does any radio station ever play her music? I've never heard it...my message is to the media...stop reporting on people that nobody cares about, Amy, Paris, Britney, Brad & Angelina, Tom & Katie...NOBODY CARES! and if you say "They sell" I'd say you're a friggin' liar...it's the shock value that very few people feel..

40. I think the excuse "a reaction to medication" is priceless. That could mean anything from "a minor rash from antibiotics" to "full-blown coma from snorting 2 lbs of cocaine in 10 minutes". Reaction, indeed.

43. well one U.S. wire report specified that she had gone into convulsions but the rest are keeping the wording relatively light and harmless. So far this is the only place I've found even rumors that she's died.
