Miley is so much Demi Lavatho. That girl was hard to watch in Camp Rock, Her smile was so face and she never stopped with it. Even a serious scene was ruined by her over stretched fake smile. OMG did anyone else notice how awful it was watching her sing in that movie. FAKE FAKE FAKE

43. In defense of Demi Lovato in Camp Rock - I don't think her smile is fake, it's just naturally very broad and she just naturally tends to smile a lot which makes it more obvious. Some people are just like that. They actually toned her down quite a bit in Camp Rock - somebody must have been paying attention, and encouraged her to cut back on the perpetual smiling. She does have quite a good voice (powerful, too), so I imagine that was a major factor in choosing her for the role.

In Camp Rock, they also toned down her makeup considerably, which made her look much better than in the Disney Channel shorts "As the Bell Rings" from whence she came, where she wore the bright red lipstick she seems to like. It doesn't look good on her at all. Honestly, girls that age look best with stage makeup that makes them look as though they don't have any makeup on at all (just as they do with boys and men). Off-stage, they're best off with no makeup.... but try to tell the little dears that. They're so anxious to start financing the cosmetics companies before they even hit puberty these days.
