Dr. Phil-billy Won't Be a Bev Hillbilly

Sources tell TMZ Dr. Phil has had his fill of Bev Hills. He's selling his mansion.Dr. Phil
We're told, it's all on the down low. In real estate parlance, it's a pocket listing, which means it's not in the Multiple Listing Service. The realtor is Billy Dolan with Coldwell Banker in 90210.

Billy boy isn't talking, but we're told the asking price is a cool $18 million. He and Robin bought the pad in 2002, reportedly for $7.5 million in cash. It's a 7 bedroom, 8 bathroom mansion with 2 fireplaces, limestone floors, a cement pond and a guest house. As the Real Estalker reported in April, rumors are swirling the couple are headed for splitsville.

Since he's in the market, we hear Britney is selling.

32. I think it is better to live in Brentwood or Pacific Palisades myself. I lived in Brentwood and went to school in Pacific Palisades.. Maybe those cities have more seclusion.. And may not be on the Hollywood Stars Tours. I hope he doesn't move to Victorville. Ugh. Horrible town...

Number 9 poster, of course he is not licensed to practice in California, he has said that many of times, he was only licesnsed in one state and I 'think" he said he even let that go as he was going to use his talent in other ways, and not have an actual practice, so he has not EVER suggested he is licensed in Ca.!!!!! you guys are all haters, ok, he may not be the perfect person, but he sure doesnt deserve all the hateful remarks you are making, He and Robin have done alot for others and children, if he walked up to you guys and gave you a car or a check then you would be acting different, so who is the stupid ones here???

37. Ohio voted for GW Bush in both of the last elections. I say we jack there gas prices up to 8 bucks a gallon for that, because they deserve that for being so stupid. 38. I know Bill.. he looks like a bad version of an 80's band guy. he looks super gay, which isnt the problem, its his crappy personality. He had a divorce and played his cards well... still a loser. He isnt listing it because he does not want the world to laugh at his list price.

39. #14,,,,,,,well now you know one person who watches his show faithfully. I am a HUGE fan of his. He doesn't need a license to practice psychology in CA b/c he isn't practicing psychology, He makes it very clear when he tells his guests they don't have to take his advice or suggestions. He is making an effort to help people who have asked him for his help. I just don't understand why people have such a problem with that.

The primary guests on his show are there b/c they WANT to be there. Some of the supporting guests may not want to be there, but they are aren't they? Going after their 15 minutes of fame while defending themselves. And those who don't want to be there aren't. Simple as that.

I think Dr. Phil has done a lot of good through his show and the help he provides so many of the guests if they want it. I keep thinking about Brandon, the young man who was a drug addict. Phil kept in contact with him and was there when he needed additional assistance.

#12...the purpose of a pocket is listing is to stop everyone and their uncle from traipsing through the house just to say they were there. It is to encourage only those people who are seriously interested and can afford it.

#15.....Oprah set Phil up with that show so SHE could make $$$ from it. She is the greedy one with the $50M CA home she uses when she visits. What a waste of money that is.

You folks can go ahead and criticize him from now until the end of time but I would bet money, as soon as you needed to, you would talk with him. Why do you even read stories like this when you supposedly dislike the person so much?

40. Ummmmmm Excuse me you real estate morons. You buy a house for X number of dollars. If you can afford to, as most in the Hollywood area can, you pour hundreds of thousands into remodeling, rennovating, expanding, etc., the home. When they decide to sell the cost is based on comparable listings in the area, inflation PLUS rennovations. It is easy to see how the price of a home could double.

You don't actually think Tom Cruise paid $50M for his house, do you? Of course not. But by the time he finished all the remodeling, upgrading, security, all new furniture, appliances, etc., it's value increased to that amount.

You see, when we move we take our furniture and appliances WITH us. They don't. New house.....new everything.

41. I think it's a little the other way around; Beverly Hills is full of him! And for those of you who had that funny joke go zooming over your head: A cement pond (pronounced SEE-ment) is a swimming pool--think Beverly Hillbillies, get it?
