Willie Aames Not in Charge of His Finances

Yeah, it's sad that Willie Aames -- aka Buddy from "Charles in Charge" -- has filed for bankruptcy. But what's even sadder is how little coin he had to begin with.

We've gotten a copy of Willie's bankruptcy filing in Kansas (where he lives) and it seems that Aames was lowballed on his low-level fame. The actor received only $14K for being on VH1's "Celebrity Fit Club" and 15 grand for his book "Grace is Enough" about his struggles with drugs and money. He's about $350,000 in the hole, total.

The last time we caught up with Willie, he and his son had just gotten jacked at gunpoint in January but it looks like the real robbery happened well before that. Get this guy a new manager!

31. Regarding my previous comment, apparently the first season of Willie's Celebrity Fit Club was taped in 2005... and I assume he was paid that year --- so he wouldn't have had to list that as income. Still... $14K doesn't not seem like fair pay for the second season. I do feel bad for the guy. BTW, I also live in Johnson County, KS.

32. This poor family! If any of you have ever had to file bankruptcy it is an emotionally devastating thing to do. I know, I had to do it once. I cried while I signed the papers for fear of being judged. I prayed no one would see my name in the paper. Unfortunately for Willie and Maylo, their names are famous and the media is all over it. Not everyone who files goes into debt with the intention of not paying their bills. It's called "Life Happens and It's not always predictable."

I pray for these folks and pray for God's mercy upon them. Shame on those of you who judge them. For crying out loud folks, Willie hasn't been in a sitcom for many years. Not everyone who is in or has been in showbusiness is rich. Give them a break will ya?
