Even in Slammer, Pearlman's a Dirty Rat

Jailmates of convicted boy-band con-man Lou Pearlman, be advised: Your conversations may be recorded for snitching purposes.

While waiting to find out his legal fate last year in Orange County, Pearlman listened in on another inmate's chat and put together a dossier that implicated the inmate, Davin Smith, in a cop killing. As the Orlando Sentinel reports, Pearlman took detailed notes and even drew diagrams that could be "useful" in the cops' investigation of Smith. Pearlman's evidence was revealed yesterday in court and the trial begins in November.

Pearlman is serving 25 years in the slammer for bilking investors out of millions.

16. LETS FACE IT....he only did it to save his own skin. He's hoping this will help ease his prison sentence. And yes the notion that he may be a pedophile has crossed a lot of people's minds!!

17. It is great a cop killer will now face prosecution, I support that whole heartedly. I very much doutb Mr. Pearlman did this out of civic responsibilty. He is a crafty conman. A sociopath. Perhaps by endangering himself through his crime fighting activity, he hoped to change his accomodations, such as; witness protection in the outside world. Sort of like some big time mobster. I don't think Lou has that much "juice". Hopefully, he'll get a nice thank you, and return to the same cell, for the same amount of time. It is my opinion swindlers recieve far too little punishment. They can destroy many lives, drive their victims to suicide.He should do the full 25! In my opinion any one that steals that amount of money deserves at least the same punishment as a guy that robs a bank with a gun. And each swindle victim should be considered a separate count, with it's own sentence to be served consecutively, not concurrently.

21. See even Pedophiles have a purpose in life. I wonder how popular he will be in prison for being a snitch in addition to a creepy old dude that really likes little boys. Yeah I know there are no official charges, allegations to this end but my trip to Lake Placid, New York some years ago really makes me wonder.

one must admit that this is a very smart strategy toward getting his sentence reduced--i'll keep that in mind should i ever end up in the slammer for molesting young boy-banders--i mean, fraud.
