McCain Says Obama Famous for Being Famous

John McCain has defended his latest campaign ad, not-so-subtly comparing Barack Obama to Britney Spears and Paris Hilton.

In the ad, you see images of Paris and Brit flash across the screen for a split second, then Obama, as the announcer says, "He's the biggest celebrity in the world, but is he ready to lead?" The unspoken implication: another famous flake.

McCain's peeps just came out with this statement: "This ad obviously also addresses a unique facet in Barack Obama's campaign that is unlike any other campaign we've seen in modern political history. A campaign that is focused on the development of an enormous image of celebrity status."

The statement continues, "These images of celebrity status and the way he has conducted his campaign ... owe more to the development of an international celebrity status than it does to a traditional campaign for President."

Translated, McCain is comparing Obama to a woman who shaved her head in a fit of craziness and another who skanked up the screen with a sex tape.

53. They are both JOKES. But McCain is the lesser of two evils. Obama has absolutely no experience. He's a three term senator with over 130 "present" votes to his credit. "Present" votes basically show he's indecisive which is the last thing this country needs. Everybody over seas wants him to win because they know he's weak. It dosen't matter if he wins some crazy white supremecist will just off him. So his running-mate choice is gonna be key

56. I totally agree with #10. Obama is a big time SOCIALIST! he is acting the same way Hitler did back in the days when he was campaigning....and looked what happened afterwards. He is the anti-Christ!

People wake up and don't get brain washed by someone who will once control your freaking assets. Look at the way people are suffering in Cuba and other socialists countries

57. I agreee with this commercial - I'd never heard of Obama before the elections (very bad sign) BUT...

Putting that pic of young, gorgeous Obama (who is NOT READY/EXPERIENCED ENOUGH TO GLOBALLY LEAD the most powerful country in the world) directly before crinkly, old McCain's face is BAD BUSINESS. Unfortunatley looks do matter and our culture is youth-obsessed. An ad stressing McCain's positive qualitites- with a shot of Obama looking like a *black Muslim man* would do the trick. Sorry to say it.. but politics are always rough.

58. We take away driver licenses from people his age due to lack of judgement with aging - what in the world makes anyone think he is capable of being President? Might I also add - he is collecting disability - yes, he is considered 100% disabled. Interesting. I always thought that medically that meant you couldn't do much.

And I'd also like to know if this is something Paris and Britney can sue McCain over? Cause THAT would be fun (and quite embarassing for the GOP).

Seems to me a new desperation level has been reached.
