108. Obama spent 143 days as a senator before he began running for President...and he accomplished absolutely nothing in that short period of time. What a huge and dangerous ego would cause someone to think they can be prez with no experience at all. If it wasn't our country, I'd vote for him just to see how badly he f*cks this world up. 110. Senator Obama came to Bagram Afghanistan for about an hour on his visit to 'The War Zone'. I
wanted to share with you what happened. He got off the plane and got into a bullet proof vehicle,
got to the area to meet with the Major General (2 Star) who is the commander here at Bagram.

As the Soldiers were lined up to shake his hand he blew them off and didn't say a word as he went into the
conference room to meet the General. As he finished, the vehicles took him to the ClamShell (pretty much a big top
tent that military personnel can play basketball or work out in with weights) so he could take his publicity
pictures playing basketball. He again shunned the opportunity to talk to Soldiers to thank them for their
service.

So really he was just here to make a showing for the American's back home that he is their candidate for
President. I think that if you are going to make an effort to come all the way over here you would thank those that
are providing the freedom that they are providing for you.

I swear we got more thanks from the NBA Basketball Players or the Dallas Cowboy Cheer leaders than from Senator, who
wants to be the President of the United States . I just don't understand how anyone would want him to be our
Commander-and-Chief. It was almost that he was scared to be around those that provide the freedom for him and our great
country. If this is blunt and to the point I am sorry but I wanted you all to know what kind of caliber of person he really is. What you see in the news is all fake.

112. obama wanted to speak at the Brandenburg Gate. figured it would be a nice backdrop. The supporting cast -- a cheering audience and a few fainting frauleins -- would be a picturesque way to bolster his foreign policy credentials.

What he fails to understand is the Brandenburg Gate is something you earn.

President Reagan earned the right to speak there because his relentless pressure had brought the Soviet empire to its knees and he was demanding its final "tear down this wall" liquidation.

When President Kennedy visited the Brandenburg Gate on the day of his "Ich bin ein Berliner" speech, he was representing a country that was prepared to go to the brink of nuclear war to defend West Berlin.

what exactly has obama done in his lifetime to merit appropriating the Brandenburg Gate as a campaign prop?

What was his role in the fight against communism, the liberation of Eastern Europe, the creation of what George Bush 41 - who presided over the fall of the Berlin Wall but modestly declined to go there for a victory lap -- called "a Europe whole and free"?

Does BO not see the incongruity? It's as if a German politician took a campaign trip to America and demanded the Statue of Liberty as a venue for a campaign speech. (The Germans have now gently nudged BO into looking at other venues.)

Nonetheless, has there ever been a presidential nominee with a wider gap between his estimation of himself and the sum total of his lifetime achievements?

he is a three-year senator with no single important legislative achievement to his name, a former Illinois state senator who voted "present" nearly 130 times. As president of Harvard Law Review, as a law professor and as a legislator, has he ever produced a single notable piece of scholarship? Written a single memorable article?

His most memorable work is a biography of his favorite subject: himself. It is a subject upon which he can dilate effortlessly. In his victory speech upon winning the nomination, BO declared it a great turning point in history -- "generations from now we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment" -- when, among other wonders, "the rise of the oceans began to slow."

He lectures us that instead of worrying about immigrants learning English, "you need to make sure your child can speak Spanish" -- a language BO does not speak. He further admonishes us on how "embarrassing" it is that Europeans are multilingual but "we go over to Europe, and all we can say is 'merci beaucoup.' " BO speaks no French.

His fluent English does, however, feature many such admonitions, instructions and improvements.

He has STRONG ties to radical anti-American 60-s terrorists who were blowing up federal buildings long before any middle easeterner had any such ideas. All while McCain was being held & tortured as a Vietnam POW.

There is NO comparison between obama & McCain. There are numerous comparisons between obama, paris, brit-brit, tom cruise, hanoi jane & countless other left wing, anti-american out of touch with normalcy hollyweirdos .

113. Instead of beating around the bush and hiding like cowards, why don't we just admit that we are racist people. We don't want a black man in Washington. We don't want a black man as President of the U.S. So we attack from all angles, dig up all the dirt we can, true or false, maybe he's a muslim, maybe not, but just because he's black we'll say he is. Gives us a better angle. We make him a joke. But look at the past 8 years, look at the fact that we are in a war that is costing this country billions, killing our soldiers and destroying families. Not to mention, we are looked at by other countries as bullies. We want it so we are going to get it one way or the other, they won't give us what we want, we'll just start a war and fight you for it. We are the one's who look like fools. President Bush was seen on film at his Texas ranch with Osama Bin Laden!! No denying that, so I ask everyone to put aside the petty antics and name calliing, forget about who's what color and figure out as a people what we are going to do. The government is in it for themselves, they could careless what the American (black or white) people want, we'll just tell them what they want to hear, and ultimately do what we (government) want. Or are we afraid, that a man of color might succeed at turning this country around and ending this war? McCain has stooped to the lowest level he can, because he feels the pressure, he feels threatened. Ok, so why not focus on the current issues and forget about the mudslinging, it only makes him look like the incompetent one or better yet, the one not to vote for.
