Paris to McCain: Attack Ad Is Not Hot

7/31/2008 3:50 PM PDT BY TMZ STAFF

Paris Hilton is pissed at being a joke in John McCain's ad campaign, but not for the reason you might think. Paris Hilton
A rep for Hilton tells TMZ, "Miss Hilton was not asked, nor did she give permission for the use of her likeness in the ad and has no further comment."

So if she got paid for it, would it have been OK?

I was waiting for that "likeness" issue to crop up! But, Paris, you ARE a joke, so what's the problem?

#12 - we've been screwed for going on 8 years now. Can it really get worse?

Avenge, revenge, whatever

4. The media made Paris, and Britney, famous and she was nothing but
a phenomenon. Just like Obama.
Just ask Bill and Hillary how the media control him.
I love how he embrasses "his blackness" but not "his whiteness", even
though his black father abondoned him has a baby and he was raised by
his white single-mother and grandparents. But, now, he's just our
"black" candidate. He embrasses racism and that is why Ludacris and
others are going nuts. His fans are coming across as nasty racists.

You need to "embrass" a dictionary. As for McCain, that old fart didn't know what
he was doing. People should not get mad at him; he's old and senile. Be
kind to the old man; even though he is horribly out of touch and
dumber than dirt.

I wouldn't call John McCain stupid, but how desperate are you if you have to compare your
opponent to Paris Hilton and Brit Brit especially when McCain himself called Obama an
honorable man a month ago, I think Obama REALY gets under McCain's skin and makes him
and his campaign just sour, McCain has been just in a bad mood in the last couple of weeks.

Paris comes from a money making family - she is not as dumb as everyone thinks. She probably would have given him permission if he had asked and promised to compensate her. But of course, she would have to pick out her pix she wanted in the ad. :)

Paris for president.
Paris would make a great president.
She could start her own party.
Paris is good at party.

Or you could write in her name.
Paris for President.

The ad is true Obama & Paris are famous for not doing anything.

I didn't like the ad, but I thought the message of the ad was timely. McCain should have used rock stars in a large arena as an expamle. It seems a bit cruel to Paris and Britney to single them out this way and not a smart move considering the Hiltons are McCain donors.

Ms. K

It's hard for Obama to embrace his "white" side because ignorant racist people don’t want to see that side. Instead of McCain focusing on policies and issues that matter he’s resorted to playground tactics, which shows HIS weakness on things that matter to the people i.e economy, healthcare etc…

I loathe her, but she should sue him.

Why is it when anyone from "team Paris" posts something, IQ levels plummet? The most shallow, irrelevant and inane comments out there. Thankfully, it doesn't happen often.

#4 When you look at O what race is he to you? if you can anwser this honestly then you know that he identifies with what most people see him as or how he's been treated as a black man in america..

Seriously, what credentials does Obama have besides being a lawyer in a suit? Granted he is a great orator, confident, and elegant with lots of charisma. He doesn't project himself like a dimwitted putz like McCain. I will take him over a nag like McCain when I see a thoroughbred with potential. Can someone tell me what he is all about besides making a "change". Obama is James Bond with a martini with McCain the oaf beside him.

This whole thing is ridiculous. I just watched the commercial for the first time, and McCain didn't come close to bashing Britney Spears or Paris Hilton. It simply pointed out that Obama's celebrity was getting huge, with examples of celebrities. Do I think it was the most effective choice? No. Democrats like their candidates popular and usually incapable. But chill out, people. It was no big deal.
What about the creepy commercial where everyone is singing Obama's name over and over again and he seems like a cult leader? You don't see that get any negative press.
