I almost agree with you. But it's the type of celebrity that is associated with "famous for being famous" people such as Hilton. It's well-known that she is more infamous than famous, and that she has earned notoriety from tabloid fame, coupled with the famous last name of her grandfather. This has enabled her to make money by endorsing merchandise that others create. Aside from that, she has no real talent, intellect, or anything else that is of any real substance. The inference is quite clear -- it was a not-so-subtle jab at Obama. As for Brit's recent tabloid frenzy? No explanation is needed.

So true. Fewer people are staying at hotels, but I don't belive for one moment that grandfather Hilton made numerous calls to McCain's campaign people. It's not because of any embarassment to Paris -- she continues to embarass herself in the media to this day every time she gives an interview, or someone puts a micophone in front of her. It was more of a reflection on him from a much more lofty level. And by the way, as dumb as this ad was, it was meant as an insult to Obama.
