Dupri Shooting -- All Over VIP Access

TMZ has uncovered the real reason behind the shooting at Jermaine Dupri's party last night, and it's all about the velvet rope.
Jermaine Dupri Party
According to law enforcement sources, things got violent around Atlanta's Club Dream when patrons heard that members of the private security team were double charging people to get into the VIP area -- where stars like Usher, Diddy and Nelly were partying.

Cops say pushing and shoving broke out, and as the masses were being thrown outside, that's when a shot rang out. A security guard was treated for a shot in the arm, but has already been released from the hospital.

We're told the ongoing investigation does not involve any of the celebrities ... nor their entourages. So far no arrests have been made.

31. There is not a SINGLE positive thing that has ever been associated with rap and/or hip hop music. NOTHING. Blacks calling each other N*GGER and thereby giving whites license to do the same. In broken English, singing the praises of GUNS, VIOLENCE and KILLING. Calling the mothers of their children BITCHES and HOs. Advocating INDISCRIMINATE SEX and thereby creating an AIDS epidemic among Black Americans that rivals that of Africa. You are acting like UNSOCIALIZED ANIMALS. It is not only Whites who have no desire to be around you. NO CIVILIZED PEOPLE, OF ANY COLOR, WANT TO BE IN THE COMPANY OF BLACKS WHO ACT AND SPEAK LIKE ANIMALS!!! STOP CALLING YOURSELVES N*GGERS, THEN STOP ACTING LIKE N*GGERS!!!.

34. Don't act as if rap artists are the only ones with "hangers on". . . look at Lindsay, Nicole, Paris, and Brittany, to name a few. No excuse for violence. BTW, please stop with the racial insults. . .that only demeans everyone

38. I'm black and I think this is really degrading. I'm speechless. Hats, high-end sneakers, baggy pants, drinks, guns, sociopathological behavior, etc characterize the black population and its image. People should be held accountable, they should be responsible. With the enormous problems facing blacks in general, I really don't see as to why any black person would be out at 3 in the morning, partying. Always partying. Why not hard work, higher education, personal growth and strife?

39. What can anybody say about this that hasn't already been said? It's an issue of upbringing, and some people have none. Clearly they or their parents have enough money to send them to expensive nightclubs (and pay for firearms), but nobody ever cared enough about them to teach them how to be humans. It's sad really, but Cornell West certainly could explain it so we could all see how it's some poor farmer in Iowa's fault. Because a fabulous celebrity means all the shizzle is someone else's fault.
Can we save the situation by turning that nightclub into a zoo exhibit?... with bulletproof windows? We'll make it totally equal so everyone inside gets to be a vip and gets an exactly equal share of Crystal.

40. Atlanta might have some of the most affluent and established people, but the city has a horrible crime problem. Most of it goes unreported. There's at least one killing a night. If someone hasn't been shot, they have been stabbed. It isn't safe to go to the local malls because of the Blue jean bandits or the armed gangs who are terrorizing jewelry shops in broad daylight. Mayor Franklin has disbanded several fire stations, laying off important city workers (sewer and garbage, police and firefighters) because of the city's budget problems. Yet, nobody can explain how several members of her staff received a 10-25 % pay raise. I'm sure those neighbors near Firehouse #7 would like an explanation.
