A spokesperson at the Regional Medical Center in Memphis told us Morgan Freeman's condition is "serious" after he was injured in a car accident last night.
The 71-year-old was in a one car accident around 11:30 PM outside of Ruleville, Miss. and had to be airlifted to the hospital in Memphis.
The condition of an unidentified woman in the car with the actor is still not known.

HAHAH Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson Ben Williams said Freeman and a female passenger were traveling eastbound on Mississippi Highway 32 in Tallahatchie County when his vehicle went off the edge of the road. Freeman overcorrected, flipping his 1997 Nissan Maxima several times before coming to a rest.

24. Morgan Freeman is one of the few public figures that the press has not had the oppurtunity or gossip on to destroy his public image. He has remained not only one of our times greatest actors but also provides us an example of how to conduct yourself as a gentleman and continue to use good judgement and morals even in todays hollywood world.
