Morgan Freeman Injured in Car Accident

TMZ has learned that Academy Award winning actor Morgan Freeman, 71, has been injured in a serious car accident in Mississippi.

Cops tell us the "Dark Knight" star was in a one car accident around 11:30 PM last night north of the small town of Ruleville. He was airlifted from the accident scene to a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. We're told alcohol is not suspected as a factor in the wreck, news of which was first reported by MediaTakeout.

Freeman's condition is unknown, but state troopers tell us he was talking at the scene before he was taken to the hospital. The condition of an unidentified female passenger in the car also is unknown.

34. Thank you CAPPUCCINO... I am from MS and don't appreciate those comments... we do have several problems as a state... Like most others...but we aren't as bass ackwards as BEEFCAKES wants you to think... I grew up in CA and moved back here to go to college... and stayed... never thought it... but am proud to call MS my home state.

Latest news on Ledgers death seem to be that Olsen knows something, but is refusing to talk unless she is granted immunity.
Bales gone wild.
Morgan injured in accident.
too many more things happen to the actors and it may well turn into the curse of the dark knight...

37. The Memphis news is reporting he was driving on MS highway 32, the car swerved and he overcorrected. The car flipped several times and he and the female passenger had to be cut out of the car. They were both airlifted to the Med here in Memphis.

38. No, not Morgan Freeman, I love Morgan Freeman. I just watched him in the Batmann Movie and Wanted with Angelina Jolie last night. I think he is one of the best actors out there. Please Dear Lord look after him and see him through this so we don't lose this wonderful person.
