63. while it's a good sign that he was talking at the scene, it DOES not mean it may not be serious....as a trauma surgeon in NYC, i can attest to the "lucid" interval that many patients have initially following major trauma - severe head, abdominal and chest trauma is frequently followed at first by a period when the patient is talking and appears deceptively ok....hope he's not one of those folks!
