LC to Teen Choice: I'm Not Worthy!

Even Lauren Conrad realizes there's more to life than "The Hills."

TMZ has learned LC is giving up the surfboard she won at this year's Teen Choice Awards for living her life on TV to someone a lot more deserving -- a 13-year-old Leukemia patient who was up for the $100,000 Do Something Award and lost.

Conrad met the kid, Pat Pedraja, at a Teen Choice pre-party Saturday where she presented him with $10,000 check from Do Something for his work recruiting bone marrow donors from minorities across the country.

We hear she personally slipped him an iPod Touch she filled with her favorite music. It ain't $100,000 bucks -- but we're working with a reality TV budget here.

7. I think it's great that she did that. A couple years ago when a man in New York risked his own life to save someone by jumping into the subway tracks to pull the guy to safety (I believe he was having an epileptic seizure) didn't DONALD TRUMP give the hero $10,000? Lauren Conrad is a hell of a lot more generous than Donald Trump, especially considering how much money Trump has! And this boy really deserves the money LC gave him for doing such wonderful and important work!

15. what a very nice thing for her to do. ive always liked LC, but i have a lot of respect for her now because of her act of kindness. way to go lauren, youve shown all the haters that you have a big heart. unlike heidi, who spends $12 million on a house. what a joke.

but anyways kudos to you lauren! youve made this young boy's life that much better with your donation.
