19. people like you all kill me isnt it the hollywood way to make as much money as you can for the use of your picture or image. brad and angelina made millions off the picture of there twins and yes they say its going to chairty but what about the money made fom the picture of the first baby girl shilo. and rocky didnt make this man i knew of him b4 rocky and maybe it made him more visual to a larger audience. but truth be told the reason so many of you have issue with him wanting an exsorbant amount of money is because he is black must be brittney and branjelina and a host of other stars who are in no way of african decent make plenty of money for there pictures

23. Little bit of money for using some flashback footage is better than no money at all. What did he not get about his character being killed in Rocky V. This ain't Dallas, and you don't have a shower scene, but if you did, don't bend over for any soap. It's not because he's Black, African American or what ever.

"HIS CHARACTER WAS KILLED OFF IN ROCKY V, AND HE WANTED TO ACTUALLY BE IN THE MOVIE AS IF HIS CHARACTER HAD NEVER DIED!"

He would have been paid for them using his images anyway, that's a SAG rule, it's one of the things the actors went on strike for several years ago. I believe they can negotiate a higher price, but that's only if the producers want to pay it. There is a scale amount for using an actors image and then there is the price they might be able to get. Seeing as how he wasn't actually integral to the movie he should have just done it for the scale price, and used the movie as a promotion vehicle for something else. I don't think they're breaking down his door to hire him. Take what you can get and then move on down the road.

24. He works out at Golds Gym Venice. Real ass!! Never smiles and has that air of self-entitlement, like, "Do you know who I am?" The real question is "Do I CARE who you are?" And the answer? NO.

A friend and I were in Golds parking lot waiting as a car pulled out so we could pull in, but before we could, Carl pulls his car into the space and just gives us a "F--k you!" look. And I thought... you drive an Infinity--get over yourself.

25. I have to disagree with you permalicious. Carl Weathers did not create the character of Apollo Creed, therefore he has no right the images of that character. Brad and Angelina certainly have rights to their children's images, as well as their own. Other stars also have exclusive rights to THEIR image. Michael Jordan, for example, has the right to limit the Chicago Bull's use of his image. But in turn, he cannot sell products wearing a Bulls uniform without the Bull's consent....the Bull's logo and uniform belong to the Bull's organization.
Not everything is about race. Carl Weathers was just being greedy.

27. I just might be the biggest Rocky fan there is. I think the Apollo Creed character was the best in the series, after Rocky that is. They could have brought back his character just like how they brought Mickey back for a retrospective in Rocky 5. Remember? In Rocky 3-4 the relationship is portrayed between the two as extremely close. They never even touched on Apollo's character in the subsequent films. He deserved better than how he is being portrayed. Long live the great Apollo Creed! You were the best!
