31. This is not about American sensibilities. It is just plain wrong to be naked like that in front of your children. Breastfeeding, of course is a natural and beautiful thing to do, but that is not what's going on in this picture. A young child is seeing his mother being naked in front of other people who do not happen to be her husband. This is wrong no matter what your nationality is. As far as I am concerned it is only right for someone's significant other to see them naked, not everyone else in the world. Work on your tan in private, Heidi, and stop teaching your children it's ok to strip down in front of just anyone. I will be so glad when morals come back into fashion!

32. cherry- agreed. children should be taught boundaries and that certain areas of their little bodies are private and should not be violated.
but in regards to this picture, i have to say i don't see a problem with a mother in front of a child, who is too young to have reservations about the body, with her god-given breasts out. he doesn't have a problem with it, and neither should anyone else at this point. you people act like she is molesting him "it's gross" "it's inappropriate"...come on now. this kid thinks nothing of it - and he won't until the world tells him it's wrong...

33. I am NOTsurprised by some of the comments....because this is America... but I don't get why people...moms ..get upset. I don't even get the stars over the nipples. Why hide them? ... It seems that people think its wrong to accept the bodies God gave us. Hey be a little more natural! Too bad people have to go all the way to Italy to be natural. Why not start here at home. I love Europe and the natural and undramatic way they live. God gave us these!. Im 48 and natural but would never hide them for anyone in my own house.

36. All you people talking smack about Heidi's nudity in front of the kids are the same people who did not understand Michael Jackson. There is NO issue here. The body is the temple, it is not something to be ashamed of no matter what shape and finally we can see a celeb actually raising her children to have other things on their minds besides sex. These children will be able to look at the body for the beauty it is and they will be able to do it without issues. It is the rest of you that that have forgotten.

38. Wow, there are a lot of my fellow Americans that are total prudes! Being topless in front of your children is not going to scar them in any way. In fact it is going to teach them to be comfortable in their own bodies. Those of you that are so quick to critisize are very insecure in your own skin. The human body is a beautiful creation and is not meant to be hidden under layers of clothing.

In all actuality there are only two reasons why clothing is worn...the first is for warmth and the second is for designers and the like to make money and charge you an arm and a leg to wear there crap.

So my fellow Americans get off your high horse and get over yourselves. The only difference between a male and a female chest is that a females is larger whereas a males is flat! In our society it is perfectly acceptable for a man to run around without a shirt on but oh my goodness...that woman is evil for bearing her breasts!

Take a look at the African people, American Natives, the early days wayyy back...did they were Victoria Secret bras or were they natural??...I think many americans are hypocrits. Kids in this country just see airbrushed pictures and edited pix , so they only ones they see are the fake ones.. Then we wonder why young teens have surgery and fix them to look like the newspaper ones... just no stars added to them.

41. Cherry - you say seeing a boob could cause boundery problems. i hope you dont let your kids watch tv -- I would be more worried about letting my kids see the news than a boobs.

It would be interesting to know how many of all you - who dislike this- change for your husband in the dark- or have sex activities with him in the dark. Im sure it's a big percent.

My son could tell the difference on a fake boob and natural at 10 years age. Good for him!

42. i see nothing wrong with it. nobody goes up in arms when a man is wandering around without a shirt in front of kids. its only because americans have sexualized the female breast so much that its now deemed 'inappropriate'. WHO CARES! i'm happy shes comfortable and it doesn't look like the kids care at all. will help to teach them their bodies are beautiful too

first, leave them alone, they are on vacation.

second, in europe most beaches, etc are topless (and the rest of the world for that matter!). not everybody is as priggiish as hyper-religious Americans, who have more in common now with middle-eastern Islamic countries in your quest to destroy your constitution and become a theocratic police state, like Iran!

So grow up already and stop giggling or pointing like an adolescent. You might find that being more intelligent on the small things will improve your ability to think rationally through the larger social issues facing the world today.
