242. I don't think it matters what color Beyounce' happens to display. She is always a beautiful woman. I think it's her business in which magazines she appears and how she looks. The politically correct crowd can just suffer from their own form of personal prejudice and lack of tolerance. This is the same crowd that tries to tell us all how we should think, how we should behave, and how we should vote. I don't buy it.

I think for the people of color who knows this story too well. Which may not be easily comprehended by you all because you aren't people of color to know where some of the frustrations comes from. Sure we can blame it on the european influence around the world but i think that it's more about the choices that are made by people of color in the entertainment industry that's somewhat shameful and a disgrace to their race/origins and ethnicity. That's the bottomline of the topic. I think the poll above could've been worded better. It's not a slap in the face to blacks why because believe or not even though their are some strong undertones in our race that somewhat demand women especially to have european features etc. we deal with it KNOWING we were born a certain way and will die a certain way. It shames her as an artist who has to #1 APPROVE THESE PHOTOS and #2 GOES AROUND PROTESTING TO BE A GOOD ROLE MODEL FOR AFRICAN AMERICAN WOMEN. THIS IS THE SAME CHICK THAT DRASTICALLY LOST WEIGHT FOR A ROLE IN A MOVIE AND ONLY PUT IT BACK ON BECAUSE CULTURALLY ANYTHING LESS THAN "THICK" IS UNACCEPTABLE TO PEOPLE OF COLOR. THE SAME CHICK THAT WORE PADDED UNDERGARMENTS TO APPEAR AS IF HER BUTT IS BIGGER THAN WHAT IT IS WHY...BECAUSE IT'S A GOOD THING AMONG PEOPLE OF COLOR. SHE'LL LIKE ANY OTHER PERSON OF COLOR THAT'S CONSIDERED "PASSING" WILL SHED THAT TO FIT THE ENTERTAINMENT/EUROPEAN/WHITE OPINON OF WHAT'S SEXY, WHAT'S HOT. EVA LONGORIA GOES FROM BEING HISPANIC TO FITTING IN THAT BOX OF "WHITE WITH DARK FEATURES". THINK ABOUT IT...BESIDES OPRAH OR NAOMI EVERY OTHER WOMAN OF COLOR (HISPANIC,BLACK,INDIA,CARRIBEAN ETC.) HOW MANY DO YOU SEE ON THE COVERS OF YOUR MAGAZINE. ON MAGAZINES THAT ARE FOR THE "WHITE" VIEWER ARE DARKER THAN A BEYONCE,HALLE, RIHANNA,TYRA...WHO? 244. Melodee should notice that Beyonce's hair and skin are both lightened thereby negating her theory of the sun lightening her hair and darkening her skin.
Also, Beyonce is a beautiful woman. The bleached out photo doesn't do her justice.

245. I don't know why black people have to always turn everything into a race issue. Beyonce is not a disgrace. Why would a black woman want to do an ad that would be offensive to black people? "African Americans" always want to point the finger at whites as racist, so if that's the case, who's really the racist? As for the Michael Jackson crack, he had a skin condition. Get over the crap in history and let it go, because otherwise, neither race will be able to let go of the "racism" that they are being accused of.

252. Why is it that every black person seems to be mad about this ad? Is that YOUR face up there? if not, grow up and stop complaining. Beyonce is a grown woman anc can do what she wants. Also to every black person out there, why do you assume that just because this ad includes a person with dark skin that it is ONLY targeting people with dark skin. Maybe someone with light or white skin will see the ad and see how it may look on their skin too and buy the product. As for Heidi Klum having her breast bare in Italy, if you don't like it don't look at it. That child of her's has probably breast fed from her which means he's seen it already. Also do you realize that ONLY in america its Taboo to go topless? There are nude beaches in almost every other part of the world.

255. Here's my two cents:

1. For a black person to lighten their skin is the same as a white person darkening their skin.

2. Lightening your skin for ads portrays to people that lighter skin is better. The image of beauty in this country is currently based on mostly European and Latin physical characteristics. There are lots of people that are neither of those and stars should be careful to NOT continue sending off this message that lighter, skinnier, and longer hair is better. It's a matter of preference and perception.
