256. omg, that is nothing ! i am black and i look lighter on some pics and darker on others. it just depends on the time of year, the lighting , background, and even the color shirt i have on and how it reflects against my skin ! another thing that makes you look a different shade can be hair color . dark and light hair cast different shadows on your skin. this is ridiculous !!!!!!!!

did loreal say that lightened the pic ? now that would not be so good if they did that , because there would be no reason to do something like that .

My skin changes color also in the winter however I think black is beautiful we come in all shades and hers just happen to be an already lighter shade so they shouldn't mess with her color to me and many other African Americans it goes back to the days where the lighter the skin the better. I do understand why people can't be accepted for whom they are and how they are and it is NOT SILLY when the woman is clearly black no matter how much they try to brighten her skin.

Just because she is a star that chooses to whiten her skin to endorse an ad, we shouldn't be in her business and writing all these stupid comments about shame on Beyonce. Shame on Beyonce? 259. First of all no offense,but if you have never been discriminated against because of your race then this conversation probably is not for you. I am from an era where you had to have skin lighter than a paper bag to gain acceptance to different places and I am only in my 40's, so this thing with Beyonce is a big deal. While it is true that your skin and hair change colors with the seasons (mine does as well) I have never gone from brown to Blond it ain't happenin' forget what you heard okay? I am not mad at Beyonce for cashin' the checks if that's how she chooses to make her money, but she should know if she hasn't given it any thought that L'OREAL has a message that they want to send and they are using her to do it which is ----Her natural beauty is not enough and will never be enough these products are suppose to enhance your natural beauty not RE-INVENT you as some other "more acceptable" beauty. Black people in Hollywood think they are immune to this rediculous stuff once they have made it, well Beyonce now you know you're not.

These pics show a lighter skin and a lighter hair color change in the same photo. Opposite of what you say happens. You said that your person gets darker as the hair gets lighter. Check your facts and just admit the obvious. Silly silly stories.

After they take those pictures they are the property of the company and they can do whatever they want to with them. They do it everyday to every one. They put Oprah's head on another body. Every celebrity wears hair extensions and makeup, but it doesn't mean that they don't have hair or some natural beauty. beyonce has alot of hair, she had hair ever since she was a child. Just becuz some of ya are bald headed and wear weave doesn't mean that she is the same. She is beautiful and talented! Anyways she light skinned, she gets tanned. She is proud of being black, she married a black guy, she sings hip hop and r&b music and she sells urban clothing, and her friends kelly and michelle are black!

270. As an African American woman I am not offended with this picture. Everybody knows Beyonce is fair skinned, and regardless of how light or dark black people get with the changing of the seasons it is naive to think that that photo isn't altered. Come on now, lets be serious. The truth is L'Oreal is doing what they do to sell makeup and Beyonce is doing what she does to make money. Does the photo look fake, YES! But duh!! All makeup ads are fake. And while I like Beyonce and find her to be beautiful, she is not typically known for a "natural" look, so are you really surprised?
