256. This is a slap in face to blacks, but it is nothing knew.We all know that black is not considered beauty to whites, so it's no big shocker to me that they want to touch up B's photo about 3 shades lighter. If you look even closer to pic u will notice that her nose is pointier too, so L'oreal what wrong with getting a white person to do it? Basically, Beyonce's star quality good enough to sell your makeup, but not her face. U be the judge.

257. Beyonce has never had African-American features.....so it's no big deal about her lighter skin. She has never played up her heritage.

258. Beyonce has ALWAYS been light skinned! Always! Heck, look at the girls mother, her skin is even lighter... Just even postingthis add and causing drama and for some ish to pop off about race. Don't these bulletins ALWAYS come down to race because of the ignorance of the people posting messages? Let's give them another reason to talk crazy a nd start more racial tension... Beyonce is light anyways! Maybe the one on the left is at the end of summer and maybe the right was taken at the beginning... Black people DO get darker in the sun, don't get it twisted!

260. Excuse me, but has anyone ever looked at Beyonce's own album covers? Not to mention her video's all the way back to her En Vogue day's? Seriously. Beyonce has been sporting this look way before Loreal got into the picture. Long hair, light skin. Yeah,Yeah, Yeah. The fashion world and the media set's these standards of beauty and because Beyonce doesn't even for a second resemble Kizzy. She's all of a sudden looking white? Or Loreal is trying to pass her? Get a life. I saw the picture and she doesn't look white to me. Hell I got cousins that look more caucasion than she does and nobodies running around calling them whities. FYI Woman of color come in all Hues, shades and color saturations. I don't see anyone screaming blackie when that big suimsuit edition comes out every year and you know good and well those girls didn't tan that evenly all the way down from their hoky poky and then all the up to their cheeze nips. Give it a rest.
Just because a woman of color wants to have long , blonde, red or whatever hair doesn't mean she looks white. photography lighting makes you a shade or two lighter as it always does if it's good commercial or fashion lighting It helps blow out the flaws. Only a white person would come up with this crap! And for hair coloring. Good weaves are made out of human hair that CAN be colored. You color your natural hair and then take the hair extensions and dye it to match. I don't recomend doing this at home but if your hair is easy to match like mine( Basic black) You shouldn't have a problem. My hair is natural and long I don't have a weave but. I am knowledgeable enough to speak about them. I hate when I blow out my hair and people say it looks white then white people are always trying to touch it. White people come up with the dumbest crap!!! She looks white? Maybe to the white person that started this hoopla she does but not to any black people that I know. The person that started this hoopla I promise you had limited contact growing up with anyone of color. And probably has one black friend that looks like Kizzy. Beyonce is Beautiful. On the inside and the out. Leave her and Loreal alone. Go attack someone that is really doing some harm in the world!!!

261. L'Oreal is only doing what Beyonce really wants anyway. I mean everytime you see Beyonce she gets lighter and lighter- it's only during the Summer that she permits herself to slightly darken(with the help of a dermatologist so she won't get "too dark"). Beyonce herself is a fake- ashamed of who she is as a Woman of Color. I think she is a bad example for young ethnic girls everywhere who are now damaging themselves in order to reach what is being marketed as the ideal "Black" woman. I disagree that L'Oreal doesn't market to Ethnic groups because being a woman of color myself I use L'Oreal all the time.
Bottom Line: Beyonce is a SELLOUT.If you're going to sell out then you're slapping our ancestors in the face, they struggled and put up with the Stereotypes so we don't have to, whatever happened to "Black is Beautiful" ? Instead we're going back to "If you're Black, Step Back". I think L'Oreal was wrong for photoshopping her picture but I don't think Beyonce should be getting any sympathy because she brought it on herself for trying to imitate a Caucasian woman and projecting a negative image to mostly Black, and Hispanic (sometimes Asian as well) youth.

262. Shame onTMZ! for implying racism niether loreal nor beonce thinking of race. all women of color usually have uneven skin tones. i spea from experiance. im a light skinned african american m/u artist. we often have choose dfoundation that either lighter or darker than some area of face. caucasian women have less troubke. the photoshop guy was simply evening out the complexion as his job prescribes! even Walmart family photos get touched up! its not perfectionism it is professionalism! SHAME ON TMZ for instigatng racial sensitivity!

263. Actually the second picture is more closer to Beyounce's skin tone thasn the first picture. I immediately recognized Beyounce in the second picture but had I not been told that the first picture was also Beyounce I would have not known because that first picture does not look like Beyounce because of tghe darker hair and darker skin. Beyounce has not had that hair color even when she was a teenager if her hair was ever that dark then it was in a movie or something and therefore to match the dark hair they gave her they also must have bronzed her skin with a bronzer. Trust me the second picture is closer to her skin tone and her current hair color. Also even though she wears many wigs on stage Beyounce DOES have very long thick hair that under contract she must maintain. Her Loreal contract says they can inspect her hair at any time for damage or cutting which could void that multi million dollar contract she has with them if her hair shows signs of damage, cutting or mistreatment.

264. Let me correct the poster VVend. Beyounce lost weight for a movie in order to look and mimick the image of Dinah Ross. If you read the background on the movie auditions you would have read where Beyounce said she DOES NOT recconmend ANYONE to do the diet she put herself on in order to mimick the size she had to get down to in order to best portrat the image of what Dinah ross look like during the days to which the character in the movie and the broadway stage play is based on. After the movie was over Beyounce didn' put weight back on just because anything less than thick is unacceptable to black people ...oh my God where in the heck did you get that information from. People like you should be banned from spreading these lies about people you have never met or talked to in person to ask why the weight loss or why the weight gain and yet you come on these boards with your own crazy speculations and bold your words as if you speak with authority. Beyounce talked extensively on MANY MANY shows about the diet she went on in order to loose 20 pounds quickly she stated what she ate what her daily exercise routine was and she stated exactly why she chose to do it. Her reasons was NO DIFFERENT than what MANY MANY actors and actress do in order to portray a character. some actors and actresses have lost weight or gained weight to fit a character, some actresses have shaved bald and gained muscle to fit a character of a role (Demi Moore for example in GI JANE) Oprah Winfrey had to gain some extra weight when she got her first acting role in color purple because the role required an EVEN heavier woman than the heavy woman Oprah was at the time she was when she auditioned for tghe role. Janet Jackson gained 40 pounds to fit a character for a movie she auditioned for in order to better portray the character which rwas a heavy woman then she had to go on a strict diet and exercise regimien to loose over 50 pounds to best portray the image of Dorthy Dandridge which she lost the adutiton to Halle Berry. who they felt best fit the image appearance wise of the character in the movie. Actresses and actors who are SERIOUS about there role will study the role and make what ever changes neccassary that is withibn their limits and not life threatening or dangerous in order to best portray that role and that is ALL Beyounce did when choosing to loose tghe weight. Once the shooting of the movie was over the character in the movie she delivered so whe went off the diet because there was no need to continue that weight. there was no decision to gain weight back because anything less than thick is unacceptable to black people. she gain the weight back because she went off the diet and that type of diet once you go off it weight comes back faster and sometimes more than what you had before you began the diet. I ahve known Beyounce since she was a little girl and once she started entering her teen years she has ALWAYS been a thick girl and her body frame will always be thick in the hips and thighs and butt with tiny waist and she has taken lots of slack from people because of that and she is happy with her size....she doesn't need butt pads to look bigger. I saw her choice to loose weight in order to mimick a Dinah Ross look alike no different than Jennifer Hudson who had to actually gain weight for her role in the same movie in order to mimick the image of the character Jennifer Holiday made famous on Broadway. Jennier Hudson said it was actually just as hard for her to gain the weight and keep the weight on her during the year of the shooting than it was when she tried to loose weight at one time in her life. Women who change hair color wear weave or even use fade cream to even their skin tone or lighten their skin tone do it because they feel it enhances their appearnces and it simply makes them feel prettier. sometimes it has nothing to do with wanting to be another race or pass as another rac and celebrities who have the money to enhance their appearances to make them feel better about themselves will be the first to do it. Even Oprah is NOT the same shade of color she was when she was first discovered. take a look at Oprah winfrey during her earlier days of Chicago morning or her early days of the Oprah show or even during her days in color Purple. What Oprah looked liked then IS NOT what Oprah looks like now. The Oprah now is years of chemical peels skin lightening creams hair extentions (inher early years of becoming famous and wanting to now enhance her appearance and lots of maintenance on her hair nourishing it and straighting it, a change in makeup etc. and a life fulk of up and down yoyo weight loss and weight gain. But did Oprah make all those changes about herself because she felt she wants to more European or pass for something or be more acdceptable to a certain culture of people other than her own heritage of people? NO absolutely NOT.! all the changes Oprah has made in hewrself over the years is because it makes her feel better and beautiful and enhances her appearance ibn her eyes and that's her right to do it but it doesn't ake away fromt he fact she is PROUD to be a African American woman.......same as Beyounce is PROUD to be an african american woman and just as Oprah has been an excellent role model with her clean lifestyle and support of the black community by giving back Beyounce has also fill that role for young black girls and women. Instead of wasting your time tearing Beyounce down why don't you try to be an exampe of good human nature and post something positive readers can take away and actually use than can benefit them. Beyounce is doing that with her life maybe you should do the same. THINK ABOUT IT,

265. They need to relax!! It could also just be the lighting that is making her look so light.

Posted at 8:59PM on Aug 6th 2008 by Gino

266. It's acceptable within the black culture to be prejudiced against people of your own race if you don't like their color.

Posted at 9:00PM on Aug 6th 2008 by Tarzan of Concrete Jungle

267. This is the dumbest news ever to report at all. This right here proves that people are bored and have nothing important to talk about. If Beyonce let it happen... well stupid her. And yeah people tan a lighten up, but blacks skin tone does not do such a drastic change. I think everyone shoul d be happpy with hopw God made them. If you pale be pale... stop tryna make your self darker. People all the time putting down michael jackson for going light... but what's the difference in a white person tannning and going dark? And if you are darker than a freshley paved road... then sport it. Whatever you have sport it well. Let's focus on real issues. AND SHE WEARS A FREAKIN WIG. She shouldn't even be on the box!!!

Whatever... Say it like it is!

Posted at 9:14PM on Aug 6th 2008 by Say like it iS!

268. TMZ is where the blame lies with this issue. How many photos of Beyonce does TMZ have? 1000+ and they choose to show just 1 for a comparison with the L'Oreal photo. Get real and stop believing this crap. As a Black woman, I am more offended by the question that TMZ posted.

Posted at 9:15PM on Aug 6th 2008 by Linda T.

269. It shouldn't bother anyone, Beyonce has made her feelings regarding colour known. She can be whatever ethnicity she chooses, she's already said she'd prefer to be Latin, she can be all of that without my support by not purchasing anything associated with the hoe!

270. Hello!!!... Beyonce has always been light skinned. Those pictures were clearly taken before she hit the beach!!
