16. beyonce, beyonce, beyonce-she is not anything different from any other confused tramp.

17. Her skin may have been altered, but probably only to match the hair color. If her skin was as dark as in the first photo, it'd look really horrible with the blonde wig. Its not always about race, yet I'm still willing to bet Jesse Jackson will come out of nowhere and ask for a L'Oreal boycott. ( I don't call him reverend.. no man of God should ever be as arrogant and idiotic as Jesse Jackson).

18. Bet you wont see a Japanese person or most other cultures do that ..I would not allow myself to do it either. Why would a black person want to adjust or change thier truly beautiful image for any one? For money? Yo....is that a sell out or what. You rich black actors, singers and athletes should wake up and create our own magazines, cosmetics and so forth and stop imitating other cultures. Look in the mirror ...we do not have to imitate anyone. We are a beautiful people and THE WORLD KNOWS THIS!!!! AFROS NEED TO MAKE A COMEBACK!!!!BE REAL

19. Monica,

You may find the human body being bared offensive, which is a personal opinion, however she is in a country that is very open with the human body. As most American's tend to be prudish, the openness of others is viewed as indecent; however this is simply one cultures views compared to another and as long as proper education on human anatomy and decency is given to the children it is my opinion this adds to the child's knowledge of culutral differences.

20. OH MY GOSH. When did EVERYTHING become an insult to "blacks" ??! i am surprised they put ":BLACKS" AND not african americans . WHATEVER. i dont know if people have noticed, but BLACKS are no longer a MINORITY. where is the WET? White entertainment channel. ?? i swear if one more thing gets twisted into a racial dig... im gonna lose my mind.

21. Why does everything have to be a racist matter......Im white and I tan in the summer. WHAT OF IT. Seriously. I mean come on.....why is everything always a concern when it might have offended ANY other race other than WHITE people.

22. Michelle Jackson!

23. Your hair lightens in the summer, not your skin tone, your skin gets darker. Even in the winter, when my skin lightens, I don't look like a white woman. Beyonce is trying to have more money than Jay-Z, and I don't knock her for that. It's just pitiful that she has to go so far as to having her pictures shopped. I thought White America had accepted her. Too bad.

24. The Beyonce thing is pretty rediculous. The company did not do this at ALL because of uneven skin tone. And I would bet anything she does NOT fade 40 shades to become near WHITE in the winter. I mean get serious. The fact is, in America lighter equals prettier and better, yes even today. The company is marketing to a people who buy into this ideology. Period.

25. Seriously, why does everythin have to be turned into something racist??? IM sick of it and especially only towards CERTAIN races of people, Why isn't anything ever made a big deal when it's about WHITE people. SECONDLY no ilt's not a slap to the black people, she was probably FULLY aware that they would alter the pics if she knew exactly what kind of Job she was doing in the first place.

26. This is so stupid! I don't think they actually lightened her skin. I think she was paler because of not being in the sun that much. And also lighting can make you look lighter. So that could have been it. Either way I really don't think it is a slap in the face to any black person. If this really upsets you then something is wrong with you. I mean she is a star and she is going to do what shes gotta do to make that money and if they offered half the money to you as they offer her then I don't think you would be complaning much.

27. Has anyone ever been on a commercial set before. There hundreds of lights. The light on the set could have been the reason why she is so light or she could have been on the beach with jay-z and got a great tan. No, it is definately not a slap to blacks because we all come in different colors. It's not that big of a deal.

28. They must have used the same formula that Michael Jackson had. It took us millions of years to turn white and using artificial means is unhealthy for them.

29. Why would women of color use these products anyway? the pigment is not meant for our skin. it is bs. and no, I can't stand greasy fashion fair either. Iman's product line kicks butt! that is thee only thing I will use for make up, once a year when I wear it. none of these product lines offer anything to anyone who has color in their skin. none of them. I can make this statement because I'm a cosmetologist.

30. Beyonce and skin lightening has been around since Destiny Child first came out. Farrah (who initially joined the group with Michelle) revealed that they used to make her tan so that she wouldnt be lighter than because since she naturally is. And that they would put lighter makeup on beyonce at shows and photo shoots so she would appear brighter. I love Beyonce and I am light skinned as well but the whole light is right thing is getting old.
