BeyonceUnless she just got vitiligo -- L' Oreal has some serious splaining to do about its bleached out Beyonce ad!

The ad features a severely Photoshopped Beyonce -- almost unrecognizable. So the question ...

332. What a waste of time- making this a story. I, like some of the others who have commented, are naturally a light skinned girl. I get a lovely tan in the warm weather months, and go back to normal in the winter. Also, like another person commented, I have never seen Beyonce as dark as she is in that first picture. To boot, I used to model, and cameras (especially with a flash) can pick up your yellow undertones even when you are a toasty brown. No story here folks..honestly.

333. This is so sad. YES! It is a slap in the face to all minorities. Hollywood has always found ways to secretly say that white is right. I know people who get lighter or darker depending on the season but are you serious with this? You don't even recognize her! If I were flipping through a magazine I would have gone right passed it because ITS NOT BEYONCE!!! What does this say to the dark skinned little girl who probably already has to put up with crap from being "too dark"? L'Oreal is not to blame. Beyonce is not to blame, THEY BOTH ARE!!! Beyonce hasn't said anything which means she might be ok with it. She'll take the money of the little black girls but God forbid that she appear to look anything like them. They used to do the same thing with Vanessa Williams. Remember when they used to darken OJ's skin in pictures? I've never bought L'Oreal products and I never will. I can't believe they have the audiacity to say that it hasn't been lightened. I guess they think that not only is black ugly but its stupid too. Beyonce??? Say something quick girl. The ball is in your court. Or do you even care? That's right keep cashing those checks and be sue to stay out of the sun.

334. Number 15, I am a dark skinned African American person, you are sadly mistaken if you really think we waste that much time thinking about light-skinned African Americans. Honestly, your feeding into the very thing "masters" wanted you to feed into. Poor soul, I'll pray for you. The truth is you are too ignorant to realize your ignorance. I stay dark, beautiful and educated. To my Caucasian brothers and sisters you are no better or worse than anyone. There are African Americans would rather look like you, why, I don't know, but I don't fault them. There are also Caucasians who would rather be darker---hence the tanning, but that's them. There is beauty in every hue so just be you----even the uneducated light skinned number 15--poor thing!

Thanks

335. Number 321, I have you know gangbanging, single parents, teen-pregnancy etc happens in every community. Ganging banging is another word for bullies, or terrorist so let’s talk about that for a second. The media just revealed the e-mails from the notorious anthrax “gang banger,” who happened to be white. On teen age pregnancy, you have Jamie Lynn Spears who is representing a network that reaches millions of preteens on nickelodeon, plus a 15 year old who is half naked on the internet. I challenge you to do your own research. What’s wrong with you? I am African American, I don't wish success just for African Americans, and I wish success for anyone working diligently and honestly. Maybe you need to check yourself instead of reading African Americans their rights. You wouldn't understand anyways, but I respect your opinions, because that's all they are. You right, African Americans can't blame whites, but if you truly want to be honest with your self there is a legacy of slavery in this country and if you want to believe that a 300 year head start on education in America didn't benefit you than you would agree with me. I make no excuses (I would hope no African Americans would, we’ve made tremendous strides and must continue to do so). I'm 28 years old, getting ready to finish my master's this December married to an educated African American man (there goes two of your stereotypes) with two "light skinned" children whom I am fully attentive, loving, nurturing and all those other adjectives you can think of. I detest gangbangers; I am a member of the PTA, Alpha Kappa Alpha who services all man kind and sincerely care about people, regardless one's color. There are so many more important things to talk about than whether someone is dark enough, light enough, or white enough. Hell, I just want them to be compassionate and humane enough. How about you

336. Well given the fact that her mother looks white, i'm not surprised although she needs to say something about it. It's giving an appearance that she might have wanted it that way, Loreal caters more to whites anyway....why couldn't she choose covergirl?

337. well, my issuse is if you want to appeal to a real black client use dark skinned people that way you want have worry about whitewashing.

338. I think the first picture is photoshopped..Do some of you not understand that white people are not the only ones that can obtain a tan...We all get darker in the sun..remember she vacations in places like saint trope and saint barts laying out alot...
