61. Shame on whoever started this!!! There is enough hate in this world without you trying to inflame it. SHe has been vacationing at the beach, photos everywhere show her in a bathing suit enjoying the sun. The ad was probably shot before she sun bathed, or the lighting was different. My skin is much lighter when I am not sun bathing. You gossip mongers are disgusting!

65. Beyonce has always told the public that she is jealous that she was not born Latina. That in itself says a lot about her.
So yes she would allow her skin to lightened. White people please tell us why you think that only white skin is beautiful.
Why are white people always trying to change Black people to be like they are? They don't like our skin color, they want us to not wear braids, they say it's to cultural. Why can't we be the way God designed us to be and what's so great about you all that you want us to look and be like white people. You don't tell Chinese people to change the way their eyes are made.
Yes Beyonce is a disgrace to her race for trying to change the way she was made. She is beautiful the way she is.

I think I missed something. Is L'Oreal using this picture to advertise their Hair color or their cosmetics?
Haircolor will not work on Synhetic hair which, in my opinion is the best option for most of us who enjoy changing out styles a lot. Reason is, Synthetic hair will hold it's shape and quality through anything (except heat or steam).
Her skin tone, she may have had this photo taken after a period of time which she stayed out of the sun. Yes, African-American people get suntans. Although if I look carefully at this photo, it may have been worked on in Adobe Illustator. But not a good job. The shadows were distorted and the dodged areas were done quickly with a brush that was too big. Either B took off the eyelashes for the lighter pic of the artist accicently dodged the tips off her lashes and caused her to look like she has droopy lids where there is normally a shadow. If you look at the dark pic, her lashes extend past her eyelid and closer to her brow. And shame on whoever destroyed her face to lighten her skin; they left dark spots on her jawline and cheek while in reality she has a flawless complexion. Whoever butchered this picture needs to go back to school.

70. look go to Ms. Beyonce's websit you will clearly see that she is not always as dark skinned as the first picture and she has been very light in alot of pictures and on TV - L'Oreal may have shopped her for a breakout or bags from staying up all night partying but I have seen her this color before... and both ways she a a very beautiful woman... I done see it a slap to blacks they are just as hot when there skin is lighter in the winter as they are darker in the summer... and heidi ur good looking but put some clothing on around your childeren what the heck is wrong with people these day

What people don't understand is that the difference between African Americans and white people is that African Americans can look extremely light that they are mistaken to be white or they can be extremely dark. White people have different complexions too but you'll never mistaken them to be anything else other than white unless the one that go tanning every other day. If u look at pictures of Beyonce when she was younger she was lightskinned. There are alot of pictures where she isn't the sme complexion. I dont think they made her look lighter, I think they got her on the days where this is truly her skin complexion....maybe with a lil more make up. How come no one says nothing about Kim Kardashian. She gets too shades darker on her face when she puts her make up on. Beyonce' doesn't need that much. And It it doesnt matter if she wears wigs or tracks, this woman is well respected and LO'real knows that if she's representing them, their product will sell. Thats the bottom line. And also, just because u wear weave doesn't mean u don't use hair products...

What people need to be askin is if its a slap in the face for white people when some of them (not all of them) are busy trying to get lip injections and butt injections and tanning every day to be get the African American features.

72. It is a slap not only to black women but to indians as well. Women of these two races constantly have to deal to with a culture that constantly promotes lighter complexion over darker ones. The picture for me is reminder not to believe every pretty picture of celebrities and I hope it encourages any woman who sees it not to feel bad about her skin condition...keep using products that help to keep your skin free from blemishes etc...but learn to love the skin you are in!

75. I'm so sick of this mentality that somehow lighter skin is better. Beyonce is not as light skinned as people make her out to be. She has a medium brown complexion. Personally I think that both pictures are photo shopped. Beyonce is neither that light or that dark. I wish people would stop with this skin color crap. It's disgraceful.
