Club Murder: Rahman, On Roof, With Lead Pipe

NYPD says Syed Rahman, an employee at Spotlight Live, has confessed to killing Ingrid Rivera during Lil' Kim's birthday party.

According to police, the 24-year-old Rahman admitted to hitting Rivera on the back of the head with a lead pipe around 2:45 AM Monday morning.

Here's what cops say went down.

Police say Rivera, a huge Lil' Kim fan, paid to attend the event -- and even brought the rap diva a bouquet of flowers. According to cops, she and a friend chatted up Rahman while drinking at the bar. At one point in the evening, Rivera was kicked out of the club for accidentally walking into the men's room. At the same time, according to Rivera's friend, Rahman coaxed the friend up onto the roof by claiming Rivera was there -- that's when the friend alleges Rahman came on to her. When she blew him off, she says Rahman found Rivera outside and "told her he could get her back in."

Cops say Rahman took Rivera through the employee entrance, up to the roof in a service elevator and that's when he hit her over the head with a lead pipe inside a utility shed. She was killed instantly.

Rahman worked at the club for four years and has no criminal record.

19. she seems like she enjoyed life...was thoughtful enough to bring someone she did not know flowers...trusting enough to follow blindly...ultimatley causing her demise...and probably an all around good person...poor or not...thats a subjective presumption...but no one should take pleasure in a brutal death...not a website that sensationalizes it...and gives a forum to bigots and rasicts by posting and not deleting there crap...they are just as guilty....and speaks volumes about the folks at tmz...and i know they are loving this......my prayers to her and her family...and god help us all....we are in the midst of cultural suicide...

21. A life is a life. It does not matter what the color of your skin is, we all bleed red. No one has a right to take another persons life. And for someone to make a comment that she deserved to die because of the way she looks? You must have no respect for yourself or others. I am truly sorry for the sad, sad life that you must have.

22. This is very sad indeed, a poor woman goes to a club and finds murder. How can anyone say anything negative about this. The comments posted here are so depressing, are all you people out there so desensitized that you can no longer feel?
Well, with all the violence in this world, I can almost see why. UFC used to be illegal, until people demanded it was entertainment. How sad is that? We are going back to the Gladiator days.. and that's not good. How sick of a society we have become.

25. I don't get why people like to categorize people as "white". The only people who are traditionally though of as "white" are most Europeans, excluding Greeks, Italians, Turks, etc. In reality they are all caucasions with varying skin tones. People from India, Arabs, all of Europe, North and South American Indian, Mexican, and the vast majority of Hispanics, are all caucasian. Then you have your Orientals from the Orient, and Negros from most of Africa. The murdered girl, judging by her name and appearance, is obviously Latina or Mexican, therefore she is white. It's just the simple folks.

27. Anytime someone leaves this earth unscheduled is sad. I can't believe someone would actually take the time to write horrible comments like that on here. Typewriter thugs!!! I guarantee KAREN wouldn't go to NY and say nothing like that to her family or friends. Some people don't deserve to live life, especially if they don't have one of their own. My condolences go out to her family and friends. I trust the loser that did this will get what he deserves!!! Some people can't take rejection.

Listen, this is a tragic story and #2 Karen or whatever it's name is, just wants to make it all about her. there is a a sickness called Munchausen Syndrome by Proxy where people make their kids sick to gain attention, I am a profiler & I can tell you that Karen has a very similiar illness, she has no friends, no man in her life, and no social life. She fills her days with comments on TMZ and probably other sites starting an uproar that will suddenly make the comments about her and not the person that the story is intended to be about. Lets all bow our heads and pray for this pathetic person who can only make herself feel better by bashing others for attention....sad sad little person.....now, to the REAL story here...God bless this woman's family, and may this man rot in jail for the rest of his natural life.
