Unlike Rodney, Dangerfield's Widow Gets Respect

Rodney Dangerfield's widow just became the big cheese when it comes to ownership of the comedian's act.

Joan Dangerfield filed suit in 2006 after Melanie Roy-Friedman, Rodney's daughter from a previous relationship, tried to distribute a 1988 vid of Rodney's Las Vegas show. No respect!

Joan just won, big time. Her attorney tells us: "All copyrights to Rodney Dangerfield's act are held by Joan Dangerfield, who owns all of her late husband's intellectual property."

23. Well yes she was sleeping with old bones but still she was a good wife for Rodney and must have been a tremendous comfort for him in his older years. And hey, looks aren't everything. It must have been a blast being married to him just for the one liners....

25. I would think the children would be entitled to a percentage of the proceeds of the intellectual property.. After all they had to live with him as a father all their lives. and I'm sure that wasn't easy.
