Why are some of these people are all too wrapped up in what color someones skin is - - what does it matter if she is dark black, light brown, pale pink, peach or light yellow? Did any of you happen to catch the procession of nations during the Olympic opening ceremonies?? The Caucasion/"White" people had just as much, if not more, variances in their skin tones/hues than African/"Black" people. Maybe it is ok for us to be different & maybe it just doesnt matter what color anyone is at any given time, for any reason whatsoever, it is just not a factor as to what anyones character is. As for Beyonce, is SHE is offended or feels violated in anyway, SHE is the one who need to address this & call L'oreal out for it. Obviously she isnt too concerned & neither should any other Black African American, White Caucasion American, Brown Spanish/Latino/Creole American, Yellow Chinese American. If SHE has no problem with the picture or what color she is "portrayed" to be, everyone else is just looking to turn it around into race & that is a shame for ALL people & enriches or betters NO ONE. BEYONCE IS BLACK!!! NOT mixed, NOT biracial, NOT "of multiple ethnicities", NOT Creole (althougt she has "SOME Creole HERITAGE on her mother's side" -IMDB), NOT mulatto (antiquated term), but good ol' fashioned Southern Negro. A simple IMDB check will clue you in. She doesnt' look White. I wouldn't say she looks Black either, but definitely not White. She can't look "more while" in said photo, as some of you are saying, because she's not ANY white. DAMN, it's really OK to for a Black woman to be beautiful. I really must address Sue. The silly comments you have made, clearly show your ignorance and lack of education. You make it sound as though blacks did not deserve to be treated with respect and dignity. MLK Day? This is a day of recognition and celebration, it has no color. The market projects what sells, what makes money, whatever is going to get their name and product out there. Majority, it is aimed at white america. At one time or another, the white population was/is the majority. At the same time, those who chose to join that majority had to adapt to that world. If one wanted to be a hollywood actor/celebrity, he/she had to adapt to become such. Tyra, Naomi, Halle, Beyonce, Mariah, Vanessa Williams and most other beautiful black women in the industry, made personal and professional choices in order to become whom they are. Great actresses, models and icons! No doubt, it was tough for them being black women, But the end result is something that is enjoyed by all races. Denzel Washington, a very talented, smart, inspiring and gifted actor. As is Jack Nicholson. There is no spin on any certain race trying to emulate the "white race". We all are unique people, each race carries it's own "specialty", but no one race has the patent on it. We learn so many different things from one another, we share those with the next person and encourage difference and change. If we all can get past this fact, we can move forward and live life to the fullest as happy, respectful, accepting and loving human beings. There is no superior race! Fact: Only one man walked on water! Love yourselves, love your children & family, love your neighbor and love all unconditionally.

A black woman, who struggled, educated herself and let go of the past is a billionaire! If you've ever watched her show, there are more whites in the audience than any other race!!! She is making history, money, and catering to whom? A white audience. That same audience is funding all the projects that are helping others of all races. She has more charities than any other celeb out there. She is unselfsih in that she is more than willing to share her wealth with those in need. She could never spend all of the money, so why not put it where it is needed most. She is busting the bank!!! Kudos!!! Oprah is still as black as she was before it all started. What other person/celeb out there has done this? What white american can even come close in comparison with Oprahs genuine heart? How many white americans are helping those who are less fortunate?
